They're about as injury prone as each other, but JO's knee is still bothering him, whereas LO's shoulder isn't bothering him anymore (apparently). JO's knee is worrying.

JO's better than LO, no doubt in my mind about that. Not offensively though, IMO. And LO's closed the gap defensively somewhat (LO's improved this season, whereas JO's regressed somewhat).

I agree that that would be the smart way to go, but i've heard that Pacers' management wants to stay competitive while "rebuilding" if they do so. This allows them to do that, and saves them a whole lot of money.

Good stuff. Hey. I remember hearing this multiple times before..

...When was that from?

Was that from way back when us Laker fans argued that Bynum+Critt+Kwame was a good deal for Indiana for JO? Oh yeah, heck yeah it was. You guys were clearly right on that one.

slifersd wrote:Pacers fans, would a deal involving Odom, Brown and Crittenton or a first rounder work for you guys? It is the best we can offer and if you want, we can also throw in guys like Mihm and Vujacic if you guys can throw in a couple of guys to take their place on our rotation.

With Bynum's injury we can't really afford to send out Kwame.

Taking back Murphy would destroy the "2010" plan. Upgrade from LO to JO isn't worth Critt, and swapping Kwame's contract for Murphy's, IMO. I think the FO would think that way too.

I think the basis of it is pretty good. JO would be an upgrade defensively, and when Bynum comes back they would make a scary, scary dup that would cause enormous matchup problems for every single team in he league. I think Crittenton should probably be thrown in.

If it is a rebuild for Indiana, spin Odom off to a third team....maybe to chicago for gordon and joe smith?
