The biggest problem will be a commitment from KLove to stay if you trade for him. I think he only considers his hometown (LAL) and teams set to win it all.
That probably will not happen for Cleveland, etc. Really kind of sucks for Minny that KLove will not commit to CLE - good matchup for trading.
So, looking at GS, LAL, Bulls, Rox, Nets and Knicks (Miami also).
But - due to mortgaging futures - LAL, Knicks, Nets, GS and Miami do not have much in picks to offer. For LAL, this year, AFTER the draft, they could trade whoever they pick.
Now - mix in what Minny Should want:
1 - hope (whether a young player or a high draft pick)
2 - salary relief (mainly KMart - but others also)
If KLove goes, then Rubio and Dieng will be the core pieces. Shabazz and Brewer could stay. The rest are not really worth what they are paid - shipping out Pek for something would be nice.
I think the simple easy solution will be what happens: Whoever LAL picks in lotto for KLove, Barea, Budinger and Moute. LAL would probably like to get Pekovic too - which could happen if Minny cannot get a decent offer for him.
- Salary relief and a young stud to build around - might be best package available from teams he will consider.
Rox are a wild card. They only have so much to offer and would be willing to offer it all - except possibly Parsons. The problem here is that other teams over bid any non-Parsons offer.
Motie, TJones, Asik, Lin, #25 and a couple of future #1s are pretty much on the table for any stud. Parsons and/or PBeverly or needed so not so available. Still, CBrewer and Budinger bring options at the sf slot.
KLove, Budinger, CBrewer for Lin, Asik, Motie(or TJones), Parsons, Canaan, Covington, #25, #1s in 2016 and 2018 - top 5 protection that changes it to a 2nd if it is top 5).
- this would leave Rox with the Brewer/budinger combo at sf - which is not as good as Parsons but should be acceptable. PBev at pg and sf would be weak - but strength of Howard/KLove/Harden make it up. For Minny, picks for the future and some talent to win now. Only works if Minny can somehow turn Asik and Pekovic into other assets they want (which would leave them Rubio with a cheap Parson/Dieng combo and Shabazz to build around). All in all - even with Parsons, I doubt this one beats the LAL offer. But, I do not think the others will compare to this one - out of teams he will consider (Miami, Nets, Knicks, GS, Bulls) (for example - I think this offer is better than the one Bulls fans rejected above as overpay - Gibson+Miro+Butler+2 #1s).
Sadly, I see LAL in his future.
