Is it possible despite how it impacts your health?

I wouldn't feel so nauseous if it did not feel so damn reasonable.

Does a Willie Reed for the mle to GSW make you feel less or more nauseous? He's one of my GSW targets.

I'm apathetic to that given the context of that roster.

It's fair but pistons would be fools to do that. If PG has no allegiance to the Pacers he certainly won't be sticking around Detroit.

I would try it we got a brand new arena downtown next season, his best friend Reggie and who knows what could change if we could get to the ECF or something which would be a possibility as it would be a decent enough roster too.

I think the chances of PG leaving would still be over 80% so I personally would be reluctant to give up two valuable pieces. However if we could work a three-way where the Cavs get PG, Pistons get Love and then #12 and Harris goes to Indiana perhaps that would be an option.

Pacers accept, imo.

And then does Denver still have cap space for Milsap?

George/Milsap/Jokic would be a heck of a frontcourt.

They would have $37 million give or take after accounting for the bird rights on Plumlee, and plenty of veterans they can easily trade for future assets or better fits.

They can walk away with Chris Paul or Paul Millsap. Depending on the contract that Millsap gets and if the Nuggets can get the hawks to do a sign and trade taking back some money for some combination of Arthur or Faried and Barton for a future pick and Millsap or something, they can also add a PG like Hill to him. Reportedly Hill and George were pretty close and he was not happy when they traded him.

Could give us a lineup of
Hill/ Murray/ Nelson
Harris/ Murray/ Beasley
George/ Hernangomez/ Miller
Millsap/ Arthur or Faried/ Hernangomez
Jokic/ Plumlee

Jokic is the kind of franchise guy that guys love to play with, loves to pass and has some crazy ability, works hard, and doesn't care about who gets the credit. So depending on the growth of the young guys, adding George will give them a primary scorer and adding a couple of top shelf role players could give this team the chance to contend in a year. 2 hour flight is pretty close to home when you are looking at that roster or the Lakers with Mozgov and Deng eating up so much salary.

Who better than the Nuggets if the Pacers want to piss off the Lakers.

Sorry if I missed it, but does anyone have some cap math proving that PG can move to CLE at all cap-wise? And if so how much money needs to be moved for that to be possible.

If it's a trade they just need to salary match.

Theyd still be at a massive talent disadvantage to this Warriors team. Kawhi/PG is close to equal as a star duo to Steph/KD. But Drays way better than LMA and Klay is wayyyy better than whoever the spurs 4th guy is. So its still not close.

We can agree to disagree then.

Except your not actually saying anything. The spurs were already really good and PG is really good = theyre competitive. Look at those rosters and explain how the talent is even close.

What is their to explain? Adding a top 10 level talent who is elite defensively will lift any team up to the next tier.

Up to you whether you believe the gap between everyone else and GSW is that wide. I don't.

I hope the Heat don't get involved in the Paul George sweepstakes. It makes no sense for us. We're not a contender next year no matter what moves we make. Why toss away good assets for a 1-year rental?

Come on PG, give GSW a verbal commitment that you're willing to join Curry and KD long term and the W's will make Indy happy by giving them Klay who wants to be the premier player on a team.

It's probably bad for the league as a whole, but for the Pacers getting Klay back seems decent.

If Love is outgoing then it works straight up. Indeed, the Pacers could tack on some more salary.

Andre Roberstan wrote:This is incredibly courteous of PG13. As a fan of a team that's had a star walk for nothing in FA, at least getting some assets for him will help the Pacers in the long-term.

If he had left out that it has to be Lakers, sure, it would have been courteous.

If he is so keen on joining the Lakers, no matter how good/bad they are, why didn't he inform Larry Bird, I don't know, somewhere around february 23 of his intentions?

If I'm not mistaken, Chris Paul was courteous when he informed the Hornets he was going to leave. I don't recall him mentioning 1 specific team and first he was traded to the Lakers, before being traded to the Clippers. Dude accepted it because it made the Clippers a very good team.

He probably would have accepted the Lakers too and that's the bummer about George his plans to leave: if you keep mentioning you want to play for the Lakers, you are not doing your current team a favor.

He is giving all 28 other teams a heads up, that they risk giving up quality assets for a 1 year rental.
His current team gets to pay the bill for Larry Bird telling everyone George doesn't make the decisions around here: "look who is making decisions now, good luck with your decisions trying to replace me"

Ehhhh... all this bemoaning from Pacers fans is a little over the top. Where were they when LaMarcus Aldridge told the Blazers he wanted to stay and then bolted in the offseason leaving them with nothing? This really wasn't that bad IMO.

Said it in the other thread somewhere I think, and stand by it, would add in 21 too:

PG to the Cavs
Love to OKC
Dipo/Sabonis to Indy

Gets a young player, prospect, and could add 21. Also Presti gives GSW a little stiffer competition.

Just kidding. There are worse cases ya, LMA being one of them.

I simply was hoping we could trade him to the Celtics for #3 to draft someone like Tatum.

That he is going to leave, is the least of my concern. How he and/or his agent managed to kill some of his trade value, is what bothers me.

You're going to get more than OKC did for KD. It could be a lot worse.

Is that return better than Randle + Clarkson + #28 + lottery protected LA 1st in 2020?
