Does OKC even need to tank next year? Kemba can start next to SGA, they can give Collins a max or give Holmes 20 million, they’re gonna have at least one top 5 pick, maybe two top 6…
I imagine Presti plans to flip Kemba, but him and SGA will look good together to start the first 10-20 games of the season. And they don’t really need to tank with the amount of young talent they have, especially if the lottery is nice to them.
Agreed, I don’t think OKC buys out Kemba. If he’s healthy they can showcase him and flip him at the deadline or next offseason for shorter contracts (and probably another pick because Presti is a wizard).
But would kemba be willing participant like horford was? He said he wants to play for a winner. After seeing horford waste a year i dont think he wants to do the same
We offer a season to recover.
Waste of a season but should be good for him in the medium term
