Due to apron issues, Philly needs to send a good amount of additional salary out here.
Also, EJ feels the least valuable of these 3 by a fair amount?

Vincent/Kleber/Knecht for Vooch
Value is fair, but we dont need Vooch
We need more defensive minded guys, preferably 2 way guys
We have 3 needs
1) Wing defender who can play offense and ideally close games
2) Defensive minded backup C/starting C
3) 3 pt sniper
Theres a chance Knecht can be a sniper this year though
I would only move him if we can get spot number 1 or 2
Those things take assets to get. Don't think what is on offer here is good enough to easily make that happen.

We can trade a 1st still

Yes, that just wasn't in the original post : D
I do think it makes sense as the OP proposed to just look for what Knecht/filler/2nds can get you that doesn't majorly disrupt the rotation. See what you have and what you need after they've played together a bit. Ayton could be really good, he could be close to unplayable as a starter. LeBron could continue to be good, he could fall off a cliff. Luka and LeBron could provide enough playmaking, or they might need a point guard, too, etc. But a minor upgrade to the rotation will be helpful, regardless. The first can be saved for something more major.

Ah you guys are right
At this point I wouldn't make a move if its not for one of those guys
I would love a guy like Wiggins before training camp starts, but doesn't feel realistic
So its better to not waste Knecht and package him with the 1st
See what the main needs are a couple months into the season
If Luka is playing like he was a couple years back and Bron is similar to where he was last season (I hope and expect more effort on D and less output on offense, but efficient offense), then they should be able to build a contender
AR is a very nice #3 on offense, just need to see if we have enough defense and athleticism to cover for our main 3 guys
Ayton, Smart, and Vando are 3 big wildcards
If Ayton is like PHX Ayton in 2022 and Smart can be healthy, they should be solid positive impact guys
Same for Vando if he is back to playing like he was with us his 1st year here
If the defense is a mess, I wonder if we look to move AR for a young guy who may fit around Luka better

His value will drop if he doesn't play well in RS or it could rise if he steps up. For now Lakers value him as a non-lotto FRP.

The Lakers should be fine with keeping him then because I don't think that any other team values him at anywhere near the same level.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.
BlazersBroncos wrote:Adding on to this - at best I think Dalton is 'grab bag of SRP' level value - at worse 1-2 SRP.
He isnt worth a FRP at this point and he isnt a needle moving addition to any deal LAL would want to make IMO.
Maybe UTA likes him and would move Svi + 2-3 SRP.

jayjaysee wrote:It’s just unrealistic because of Nike.. But Gafford and Martin for Vincent, Maxi, Dalton and second(s) would seem to make sense for both sides.
Dallas using the second(s) with maybe 1-2 of their own to dump one of Maxi/Vincent to save a fortune. Maybe look to dump the other one if possible::
But Dalton comes in and has a small role for Dallas this season but could grow into an important piece..
LAL gets a decent bench two way wing and a strong rotation center..
