And how long was the period between relevant Kobe and Lebron going to LA? Oh a long time. And the league didn't force Lebron over there. He chose to go there for his own business reasons. And the league never voids the Chris Paul deal if its just all about the Lakers.

They are the Lakers. Players want to play there. They are going to have more than their share of stars. I get that sucks for Dallas or Sacramento fans. We have to grow our own and then hope we don't trade them stupidly. But see Dallas did this before with Jason Kidd and the return was equally terrible. Sometimes teams just do dumb things. Really.
But you could come to the 6th floor museum here in Dallas and you'd be like but that's not what Oliver Stone and Kevin Costner told us so....
I get your mind is made up here, and no amount of red flags will change it. But I think its extremely important to give context.
As of 2012-2013 the Lakers had Nash, Dwight, Gasol, Artest, Kobe. The following year Kobe got injured and was never the same. Short of randomly adding prime Lebron to that squad (and even then), they stood no chance of being relevant. There was a 2 year gap prior to Lebron coming to town. 12 months later AD joined him.
The CP3 trade happened while the NBA owned the Hornets. It was in their best interest not to sell CP3 for peanuts as they attempted to find a buyer.

I get teams make stupid decisions. Let's not try and make a false comparison between 23 year old Kidd in the midst of a 10/9 season to Luka fresh off the NBA finals.
