I’ll take the little trades too. They all give me serotonin.

Obviously one of those win wins.

Playable (not good, but playable) defender and a second for $$ savings I'll take it

Three seconds to get in and out of the Jaden Springer experience. Phew.

Brad’s worst move of the last couple, maybe Morey’s best.

Edit: just one (#41) to get him last year, could have sworn it was two but that was the Tillman deal.

This is one of those smart deal for both side .

It’s all about the money.

I think Springer has a future in the league. Fantastic defender and potential to be D and 3 .
Only 22.
16 million is big chunk of change though so I get it.
On pins and needles for who might fill that empty roster spot :)

I had it costing a 2nd to dump him last year. Was absolutely shocked the 2nd went the other way. So, I feel like this was the right price, even if it took a year to get to it.

I was just having some fun with Boston fans that have in different threads try to sell him as an asset this year.

Sure but let’s be real here a Boston 2nd is worth as close to nothing as possible

2030 is a ways away. Even if a very well run organization, unless it is protected it could be anywhere. That said, i wouldn't trade the 45th pick this summer for that Boston pick. But maybe I would the 50th, just to get the variance. So, yeah, I would value it like the 50th-52nd pick this summer. Not exactly a big deal and very worth the money savings.

Edit: Especially when we do know the team will have a new owner by then.

It's entirely possible I'm just more talking a tiny bit of trash back than anything. I can't remember the exact details of the original deal I had proposed but I think the value I had proposed for Springer was essentially zero and that someone would be willing to take him on for free (or extremely close to it), so yeah I was off by a rounding error lol.

Edit: actually my original suggestion was that Springer for Theis was an asset neutral deal so yeah  I'll pass on the crow on that
