Ron Artest, Shareef and Kenny Thomas for Zach Randolph, Jared Jeffiries and Renaldo Balkman
Why for Sac: They get a 20/10 power forward and a decent replacement for Artest. The best thing is, is that they finally get rid of Kenny Thomas.
Why for NYK: Theyh balance their team out. David Lee starts next to Curry and Artest starts, that lineup is so much better defensively, and Curry will play better, being the main threat in the offensive post.
Sac Lineup:
Bibby/Udrih
Martin/Salmons
Garcia/Balkman
Randolph/Moore
Miller/Hawes
Nyk lineup:
Marbury/Robinson
Crawford/Jones
Artest/Richardson
Lee/Shareef
Curry/Rose
Both teams improve considerably.

I think Bibby is really overrated by some Kings fans but this is seriously beyond bad.

Where's the decent PF that the OP talks about. It's surely not the awful contract of Zach Randolph. He's TERRIBLE. Nothing more than a stat-padding, no defense whatsoever cream puff.

Randolph is decent enough given what the Knicks get back. You finally get out of Kenny Thomas' contract, and Shareef's, and add a young power forward, who has never, ever been put into a good situation. He has always been around bad character guys and wavering franchises.
Randolph has shown he wants to just play basketball or else he wouldn't have worked so hard to come back from microfracture surgery. Give the guy a chance in a good character setting, and nobody knows exactly how he'll respond.
Artest will most likely leave the Kings in a year to play for a contender, and Balkman is a decent replacement to backup for Garcia, and given Artest's problems, its fair value for both sides.

I like that Knicks deal. The Kings rid themselves of 2 contracts which are unmoveable and at least get a post presence who will stick a round for a while.
In all honesty though, if I'm Sacto I just look to the future and perhaps try drafting a PF or trading up for one. A possibility could also be drafting a guy like Hibbert as well.

And add 1 that's equally as bad as either of those 2 deals.
The Kings neither need nor want Randolph. The reason Moore is seeing minutes is because he:
a) plays good, solid defense
b) isn't afraid to do the dirty work
c) doesn't need the ball at all
Randolph is pretty much the exact opposite of all 3 of these things. Ideally the Kings could get a [much] better version of Mikki Moore (preferably someone who can protect the basket). Randolph is not that guy AT ALL

Not calling you out, but I can't wait until May when the Kings are in the playoffs.

Actually I'm at the point where I hope that the Kings don't make the playoffs.
Being a 7 or 8 seed again and likely losing in the first round does little if anything for the Kings longterm plans even though it would make a pretty good story concidering the injuries that the team had so far this season.
As far as any of these PF deal, I'm not particularly impressed with any of them. Troy Murphy & Zach Randolph have contracts far to big for a team that's supposed to be rebuilding. Kwame's value is really only as an expiring and even some Laker fans would admit that.
I guess Wilcox or Charlie V might be interesting but my guess is that the Kings would have to pay too much for either one of them.

Over who?
They are the 11th best team in the west right now. (in no particular order)
San Antonio
Dallas
Phoenix
New Orleans
Utah
Houston
Los Angeles
Golden State
Portland
Denver
Then Sacramento
All of those teams have more talent on their rosters and a logical/reasonable nba fan can't think the Kings are going to overtake any of them to make the playoffs.
And you said in May, so you think the Kings are going to make it to the 2nd round? Not to call you out or anything, but your delusional.
