Mitchell has really struggled defensively these 3 games. He's oubre-ing out there.

Brunson was eating, then spo had to take Mitchell off him.

Ja was eating, then spo had to take Mitchell off him.

Bane was eating, but spo didn't change.

That's 3 games in a row now. And each time it impacted the game.

If giannis gets traded, it'll be to rebuild. Not to treadmill.

They also need to sell tickets. Herro is the hometown kid, and is an All-Star in his own right.

Ware and the picks is the rebuilding part of the package. Wiggins is contract fodder and a name. Serviceable enough as a wing, or can be let go to clear the cap sheet.

Could even start Fontecchio at the 3 if we wanted a more proven wing shooter than Pelle. I like the Pelle upside potential though as a spot starter.

That spacing with Bam, Giannis and Jaime would be rough though.

Hopefully Bam doesn't get discouraged. Keep shooting it. Muscle memory will kick in

I don’t think we’d have to give herro and wiggs. Herro, one of the young guns, a filler and all the picks should do it.

He fouls quite a bit, didnt realize he was getting cooked that bad tho. Im interested to see if he can defend without fouling so much

All joking aside. We need to realize Herro minus a contract extension will only be valued as an expiring contract. That won’t entice any team to trade its star player and expect pennies on the dollar in a trade without an extension.

I think Herro will be fine. Plus having him in the clutch with Norman and this aggressive version of Bam will help us close out games we should've won last year.

Speaking of Bam. I know his efficiency was poor tonight but I love the aggressive attack on offense. Nights when his shot is falling he's going to feast.

Dude can’t make a shot within the arc now lol if he was shooting his career average from 2 he’d be having a monster start to the season, getting to the line better and shooting 95% has helped

Im not worried about it. He'll come around just like last season.

I don’t think we really need to move anybody. This is going to be a fun team to watch and our salary+asset situation is improving

I think ja shot 100% fg against Mitchell while banes had a 50 or 60% fg. Even more telling to me was that teams aren't screening him off any player

But I'm not too worried about his on ball defense, players will get beat in this NBA. It's the off ball im more concerned with. People confuse activity with good defense (the oubre).

I think Tyler's going to have to play a lot more at the 1 to fit in this team, which honestly isn't so bad since it helps hide him more defensively. Even then though Davion seems to be improved as well.

Either way its a good problem to have, most of us a couple weeks ago were expecting this to be a 20 win squad (could still be knock on wood)

What if the Heat told Herro to wait on the surgery because he would lose leverage on the Powell trade? Powell becomes way more important to a team with no starting shooting guard worthy players. Wiggins can hide at SF, but he is exposed at SG. Herro with the knowledge we have now on his injury history, is not holding up well in that SG role either. If that was why the surgery was delayed, yo that was a bad ass negotiation tactic by the Heat.

Let Herro heal up on a non-emergency surgery and get an upgrade at SG.

Now Herro just needs to shine at point guard, cuz this is the end of positionless basketball other than Bam serving as part-time playmaker. Get Powell a guy to give him his stats too. Big responsibility for Herro coming up. He will have competition. Point guards have a relatively short life in Heat basketball. Does Spo have a vision now to fill that piece with a player that is by no stretch a point guard filling in the responsibilities of point guard?

No pressure

Oh **** people would ask two months ago why you need a starting SG when you have Herro, Wiggins, and Rozier. I was one of those people. Based on the information I have now, it makes sense. Wow.

If Herro wants an extension, he’s gonna have to show he can play point guard.
