Some people here were still talking themselves into him just a few weeks ago.

Jimmy did NOT want the ball in this Orlando game.
People praised him for facilitating, passing. He was passing the ball even when not pressured, like no double coming and he once panicked and threw to a Magic player who was guarding someone beyond the arc.
There was one or two possessions where he had Anthony on him instead of Issac or some other longer wing. He didn't even try to take him.
One time he dribbled into the lane and he had a wide open pull-up from like 5 feet but he kept going trying to get to the rim and someone prevented that.
Seems reluctant to shoot unless it's a layup. He did attempt a couple of 3s but was way off. Maybe something messed up with his hands or shoulders.
Teams are going to get wise and not worry about doubling or hedging towards him.

We trade our long term contract in wiggins, and we take in a year rental of durants expiring deal.
I've give up Jaime, Niko, Duncan, Rozier (expiring - PHX can move him again at ASB), a 2025 1st, future 2nd if we have available.
That's the most I would do. If it isn't enough I'd move on and wouldn't feel bad about it.

I doubt phoenix takes thatbut it would be cool if we somehow end up keeping wiggins, herro ware and bam.. and adding durant..
Herro
Wiggins
durant
Bam
ware
With davion as a sixth man.. you can fill the rest of the roster… thats a deep team with a lot of length

Randomly denying a grown ass man the opportunity to indulge in some cookies is crazy work. Doing it to a guy that takes care of himself as much as Lebron did at that time, and probably still does today, is insane.
I agree. But if true, u can look at it this way. If you allow your best player to eat junk food on a team plane, u gotta allow other players to do the same. You can't have two different sets of rules. That's the culture. I'm sure he didn't care about LeBron, who spends millions on his body to stay in the best shape, indulging in some cookies in his private time n space. Looks stupid, I agree. But I wouldn't say insane when the whole team is about the "Culture"

I see what you’re saying, but I think It’s kinda nuts any way you look at it because you already have measures in place to monitor food consumption. If you eat 10 chocolate chip cookies a week but you can still pass the body fat and fitness tests, then what are they actually doing by taking that man’s cookies? If he fails the body fat test, that is where you set the example for the rest of the team.

Outside for a move for Durant, this seems plausible. It kind of depends on who is available between now and then.
Duncan has improved his game, but Miami could certainly upgrade from him with guys like THJ or Malik Beasley for similar money. Similarly, Miami could upgrade from D Mitchell, but it depends on who becomes available either via FA or trade.

We don’t have free agent money to spend next year and allowing Duncan to walk via the ETO makes no sense either since it will leave dead money of 10 mil on the cap. It’s an easy negotiation ploy to renegotiate with Duncan at the starting figure of his guaranteed 9 mil ETO guaranteed figure. I think the organization considers him a lifer and he’ll most likely be game for this. He’s also one of the top performers at Pat Riley’s wife parties lol.
