Shouldn't downgrade the talent at #20, no one will promise you the guy we like will still be there at #30+

Thing is this is really murky draft, with prospects rankings likely to be all over the place.

Beyond using the pick to help facilitate a trade, I think the Heat prefer to get in on 2nd round picks on non guaranteed deals than commit the salary of a 1st rounder on their 2021 books.

LMAO I came to post the Benihana story lol, I wanted to be in dude's corner but he's off in the deep. The fact that he doesn't have enough people in his corner or even the common sense to know that he just explicitly cannot say those things, even if they're true, is mind-blowing.

Dion/Hassan/Kyrie have their faults, but it's an insult to compare them to that nonsense. The vacuity of that response is seriously tripping me up right now.

An anonymous GM said that a player in this draft admitted to taking toxic recreational drugs, and if that's true-- I'm inclined to think Edwards would be capable of that

If it's me drafting, I'm not using a 2nd rounder on the kid. Crazy is crazy. Some guy's just aren't meant for the league. You need kids who are hard workers, love the game, and have high moral standards. A head case is always a burden. No winning team needs that kind of baggage.

Trying to be realistic I hope we trade 20 for PJ Tucker. Guy is a perfect fit on a 1 year deal. He would start at pf and add so much versatility on defense.

Us trading the 20# pick is a given?

No.

I'm pretty sure there's a guy we like, very likely Vernon Carey.

If we trade back I guess it's because they feel we can get him in second round and pick an extra pick for our troubles.

But I'm confident we will pick and keep someone.

I could already predict what's happening tonight lol

Tbf Heat fans were rioting over Herro, and a ton of people on this board were against the Bam pick.

Winslow was the last pick the fan base was crazy over initially, which is funny in retrospect.

All I need is for us to draft Maxey, Quickley, Nnaji and Carey. That'd be a good night for me. Get all them boys in here. Just need to trade something to Philly. They've got all those picks.

I wonder if that means that we like someone at 20 or if we already have other trades in mind. If we were interested in trading down we obviously could've beat that offer with our pick.

I don't think trading 20 for a 1 year rental of Pj Tucker is a wise idea. We'd be better off using that pick on a guy like Jalen Smith if thats what it came to.

That’s honestly one of the worst trade proposals I’ve ever read.

He’s not a good 3 point shooter anymore (was average in his best year) and is 36 years old coming off a season where he averaged 6 and 6. And you want to give up a top 20 pick??????

No, sir.

No way. It's just a toe. He's a lock to go top 10, guy has a very high floor.

Cole Antony, Maxy, J.Smith, Pokusevski, Precious Achiuwa - those guys can fall.

Also I think Anthony Edwards could fall, not to #20 but maybe to around 10. Guy is as high risk as they come.

I guess it depends on if you think we are going to contend next year.

To me a rotation piece on a contending team for the 20th pick would be sufficient. Of course you lose some in the future, but if it improves this year it may be worth it.

I am not too excited for the 20th pick in a draft with so many question marks. Some of the guys I have seen linked to us have talent (I really like the Maryland PF) but it’s a crapshoot.

Well the Knicks just traded the 27 and 38 to move up to 23. That’s the trade package we should have taken. My guess is we either want totally out of first or keeping pick.

We worked him our right? So that’s something I guess. I’m anxious to see if we keep the pick

We did work him out and he’s the son of Riley favorite Greg Anthony. Sure makes sense if he did great in his workout.

I don’t think he’s worth a first, but definitely worth sending a second for if we move back.
