I don't see the point in trading down, If we like a second round player that much, you can use $$$ and buy a pick.

Shouldn't downgrade the talent at #20, no one will promise you the guy we like will still be there at #30+

Thing is this is really murky draft, with prospects rankings likely to be all over the place.

Beyond using the pick to help facilitate a trade, I think the Heat prefer to get in on 2nd round picks on non guaranteed deals than commit the salary of a 1st rounder on their 2021 books.

If it's me drafting, I'm not using a 2nd rounder on the kid. Crazy is crazy. Some guy's just aren't meant for the league. You need kids who are hard workers, love the game, and have high moral standards. A head case is always a burden. No winning team needs that kind of baggage.

looks like trading with the3 Kicks for their later picks is out. Utah traded with them . New York traded wtih the Utah Jazz's pick at No. 23 in exchange for the No. 27 and No. 38 selections

I wonder if that means that we like someone at 20 or if we already have other trades in mind. If we were interested in trading down we obviously could've beat that offer with our pick.

He’s not a good 3 point shooter anymore (was average in his best year) and is 36 years old coming off a season where he averaged 6 and 6. And you want to give up a top 20 pick??????

I guess it depends on if you think we are going to contend next year.

To me a rotation piece on a contending team for the 20th pick would be sufficient. Of course you lose some in the future, but if it improves this year it may be worth it.

I am not too excited for the 20th pick in a draft with so many question marks. Some of the guys I have seen linked to us have talent (I really like the Maryland PF) but it’s a crapshoot.
