I really hope this is a prelude to going back with Jovic at the starting 4 and just dealing with the growing pains. Lord knows the pains of having to start Haywood Highsmith has been brutal enough.

They didnt put up gawdy numbers but they competed well vs the top team in the west. I do not think its a given that Rozier and Herro will remain paired as starters this season.
Vs the Clips
Overall
T. Rozier - J. Richardson - J. Butler - B. Adebayo - H. Highsmith
14 mins, 112.0 OffRtg, 92.6 DefRtg, +19.6
However I think it was tales of two halves
First Half
T. Rozier - J. Richardson - J. Butler - B. Adebayo - H. Highsmith
9 mins, 125.0 OffRtg, 52.9 DefRtg, +72.1 Net
Second Half
T. Rozier - J. Richardson - J. Butler - B. Adebayo - H. Highsmith
5 mins, 88.9 OffRtg, 160.0 DefRtg, -71.1 Net
Just keep this in mind. Heat are paying attention.
Starting unit outplayed theirs as a unit, wish the bench could’ve matched.
Still want to see it with Duncan instead of JRich

I think he’s doing it out of necessity, someone has to guard the elite perimeter players but Rozier and Herro can’t and Jimmy isn’t trying yet

Maybe put in Jovic and insert Martin into the starting 2?

For sure, clippers (and everyone else) has been saying their defensive gameplan is to pack the paint and make Bam shoot over top of multiple defenders to slow him down, Rozier Herro and Duncan knocking down 3s can stop that. Especially Duncan imo based on how he shoots off the move and has a high release point. When rozier finds his jumpshot again that will open things up too. It’s just a matter of time for that
