I really hope this is a prelude to going back with Jovic at the starting 4 and just dealing with the growing pains. Lord knows the pains of having to start Haywood Highsmith has been brutal enough.

I think he’s doing it out of necessity, someone has to guard the elite perimeter players but Rozier and Herro can’t and Jimmy isn’t trying yet

We got the first glimpse of a starting lineup based around Rozier, Butler and Bam, without Herro. They didnt put up gawdy numbers but they competed well vs the top team in the west. I do not think its a given that Rozier and Herro will remain paired as starters this season.

I do too, however I am concerned about how Duncan responds to the concussion. A spacer is needed, and Rozier needs to knock down some 3s.



Hopefully Jaquez gets his touch back. Because I want to see a Rozier, Butler, Highsmith or Marting, Jaquez and Adebayo lineup.

For sure, clippers (and everyone else) has been saying their defensive gameplan is to pack the paint and make Bam shoot over top of multiple defenders to slow him down, Rozier Herro and Duncan knocking down 3s can stop that. Especially Duncan imo based on how he shoots off the move and has a high release point. When rozier finds his jumpshot again that will open things up too. It’s just a matter of time for that

I’m down or even JRich but that means making the big move of Herro to the bench. Which to me is starting to feel inevitable especially with the media echoing it now

It's starting to feel like the only move we are going to do is our classic salary dump using a 2nd round pick that gets us under the 2nd apron and allows us to sign a buyout player making under 12 million and get a two way player under contract.

Not only how Duncan shoots. Teams are scared of Duncan shooting. Teams actually game plan to defend him beyond the 3 point line. Duncan presence alone spreads the court regardless if he makes or misses. People focuse too much on Duncans individual numbers and do not understand how he changes defenses.

Heat can free up 4.3 million at the deadline by dealing Bryant and Dru Smith's contract with the 2026 LAL 2nd rd pick. This would be similar to when we dealt Dedmon and his 4.7 to the Spurs for a 2027 2nd rd pick. That move allowed us to sign Kevin Love(buyout) and Cody Zeller.
