The only age the matter's with the Cavs is LeBron's. He's 31, as long as he's still good they will be too. Once the decline begins though? Downhill

The funny thing is I remember when my body went from "invincible" to "I need days to recover" right when I turned 31. Now true I don't go through the NBA schedule, but I am military (Combat Camera) and played for the Basketball for LA Airforce Base. We played a lot and against Bases all over the west coast. As well as I did combat missions all year.... my body took a beating and the next year I gave up basketball all together.
That Decline that the Cavs are going to have soon is the worry that I had about us last year... just interesting!

And the only age that matters for the Heat is the next ice age, because we have no superstar to build around. Until that changes, the Cavs team plane could go down, and it wouldn't get us any closer to the championship.

Yep, so many factors go in to it. Not only talent, you need the player with the right personality.
Rose seemed to turn some prospective FAs away from the Bulls.

What're you talking about?
The Cavs having a bunch of old role players means nothing, they'll be good as long as LeBron is good which is all I was saying. Who's even talking about us?

Why on earth would you want Bosh's contract?

HEAT hasn't had a superstar to build around or been close to a championship since "you know who" left in 2014.
It's precisely why Riley put the full court press on Durant this summer, why he's chosen to have annual financial flexibility moving forward, and why he'll go after the best available superstar next summer... He knows what's up.

Meh, we would have been in the conf Finals last year if any member of our front court was available. When the champ is coming out of your conference, that's about as good as it gets. There was a time when division titles and the 2nd round was celebrated in Miami.

It would depend on his health. The first part of last year, Bosh's play would fit in very well with the Blazers offense.

Reality is that Bosh is an all-star caliber player when he's healthy. He is healthy now, and could be available for training camp. If the story about him testing negative for the gene that predisposes someone to blood clots is true, then he has nothing more to fear than any other 30+ year old, 7-foot athlete who flies across the country on a weekly basis.
The Heat may not be willing to approve the anticoagulant plan he and his doctors have come up with, but that doesn't mean all clubs will not approve. I'm sure there are a handful that would see it as a calculated risk, and if the price is low enough then why not pull the trigger.
Blazers may be one of those teams, and Bosh's game will fit very well with their current core & their backcourt. The age difference might be considered an issue, but if they continue to put the right pieces around their core, their window opens up a lot wider (WCF), as soon as next year.
Problem is, Blazers have nothing to trade us. They have no space to absorb his contract, no expiring contracts big enough to entice, and no prospects they would want to give that would make us mildly interested in absorbing one of those massive contracts they signed this summer.

Wonder if there was a mince of truth to the report that Heat were promoting Bosh's health to get FA's, I doubt it
