The larger sample size (last season compared to 4 games this season) points to Winslow being a much better player at PG and that he is capable of being efficient on an increased amount of shots. The past two seasons he has been a 38% 3-point shooter. He was a huge reason we won our home opener against Memphis (27 points on 48% shooting) and Milwaukee (defense against Middleton, 13 rebounds, 7 assists). He's played a total of 15 minutes with Butler, who is our best player. Give it some time.
For as many missed 3's/layups I've seen from Winslow this season, I've seen as many examples of better touch around the rim on contact layups, and he's even added a post game against smaller opponents (he's even hit a couple of those DWade-esque turnaround jumpers this season). He has done everything minus scoring well, and even scoring-wise we've seen flashes. Just chill and enjoy, we are #1 for the time being. Winslow is a big part of that, as is pretty much everyone else on the roster. We are young, deep, and the players we have (with the exception of Dion) are embodiments of the culture. It's a good time to be a Heat fan!
