I thought this article (it is also above in the RealGm ticker for those who can't open links) was very interesting in regards to the discussion involving a trade with the Miami Heat. The jist of it, is that Riley is targeting 2010 as when the team will sign a big free agent. That is the year that Shaq's contract expires. In the meantime, Riley says that he will be using the minimum and mid-level exemptions to try and bring talent to the team. I might be wrong, but I don't think that is going to cut it if he wants the team to win any games in the next 2 years. Draft picks aren't going to save them either. So, is a trade in order?

...is a pretty nice lineup to build from. Cook has the Ohio State connection, and is shooting very well for a rookie. We've discussed the merits of Haslem and Wright before.
