How hard would it be for the owners to eat the cost of having just one game a week on broadcast television or simulcast on YouTube? The RSN’s aren’t going to shy away from their lucrative contracts because of one game a week.
That’s ~24-25 out of 82 games not counting the playoffs, and possibly less if a game is already the NBC/ABC broadcast.
A few years ago there was an article about the Bally broadcasts to the Milwaukee market averaging like 20,000 viewers, and that’s when we were the best team in the league.
