I agree with that. We’re shackled to Griff this season.
That sucks, but I still think the team could win the title if they make some sensible personnel changes despite the coaching making the pathway narrower.
Then we'd be shackled with Griffin for the next decade probably. However I don't agree about this team being that salvageable under Griffin even with fringe personnel changes, some random defensive wing from a mediocre or bad team isn't going to turn this team around lets be real. Probably better to let this pretender to die on the vine and hope to reload next year than double down on whats not going to ever work. Its a poorly constructed slapped together old man team with a total lame duck as coach and inflated record rn, Horst got too much credit for pulling the Lillard trade out of his butt and getting Giannis to sign an extension but this team is finished as a serious contender.
Horst needs to figure something out or start feeling the heat himself, we got to sell Giannis on a quick reload/rebuild and I don't think its crazy if he asks out in the future. Fix it ****!
Wait, are you complaining that if we won the title this year, it would be a bad thing, because we’d have to keep griffin?
Can’t see the forest for the trees.
Also, Bud won a title here, and then got fired after two more seasons. Coaches almost never last a decade in one spot unless they win multiple titles.
