I am so excite to play this again.

Considering getting a physical copy from Limited Run Games. Never know if I may need it.

What system are you getting it for? I tend to default to Switch for these types of games.

Switch too, most likely. When I got my PS5 I was just anxious to play it so I didn't bother setting it up through my receiver and potentially having to reassign inputs. I should have done it by now, but alas.

So I'll go with the Switch and enjoy those sweet Anamanaguchi tunes in my nice surround sound.

Ended up just getting it for the PS5. Enjoying the game, of course, but I'm disappointed that multiplayer absolutely doesn't work at all. Gameplay lag makes it unplayable. Hopefully it gets fixed in the next few days when the game is still being played like a lot of people.

I am really glad that so many of you enjoyed your time with CP2077. No shade on it (or relatively little, in this instance).

But I think at this point I'll wait until a definitive edition to play, if at all. They put out their mea culpa video today - finally, IMO - and they have a long, vague roadmap to improvement. And if I've learned anything the past two years, it's to not trust their timelines. I have both a PC that can run it and a PS5, but I don't know that I want to. It still seems so much less than what I expected.

Still glad I upgraded my PC this year. PoE runs so much better :D

Like I've said previously, to me the game just seems incredibly next-gen, even as a proper next-gen update is on the way. The non-Keanu acting is incredible, characters are as life like as any game ever, I loved the story, the city seems impossibly lifelike, the combat is excellent and there is an insane amount of stuff to do. I obviously wouldn't hesitate to recommend it at $60 but since I've seen it discounted all over online it's just that much of a better bargain.

To me the easiest thing to do is look at the metacritic scores on PC vs the PS4 and Xbox one. It's one of the highest rated games on platforms that can run it properly, and it's one of the lowest on the PS4 and Xbone. I didn't catch it on any best of 2020 lists and it's largely been killed by the gaming press, despite having a subsection of players who love it.

I said it before in this thread but it's pretty easily the best open world game I've played since TW3.

Figured I'd offer if anyone's interested. I've got a PS5 Bundle for sale:

Disc Edition
Extra Controller
NBA 2K21
Spiderman Miles Morales

$750, just what I paid for it. There was a Christmas Breakup involved. DM me, can meet in Milwaukee.

EDIT: Sold.

Good thing I save constantly in cp2077, ran into my first game breaking bug. The gig Family Heriloom, after completing it, it won't register as complete and my ability to use the phone is broken. Tried redoing the gig from previous saves etc... nothing. Just going to have to avoid it for now.

ETA - I figured it out. It had an optional choice of returning a car to the guy. I skipped it and just did the main part of returning the bootleg tapes and it was completed.

UPDATE - turns out that I didn't fix it and the issue was with the stupid "Track down X cabs" quest. It bugged out and now it won't let me progress with any quests that require a phone call. How stupid. Have to go back to a save 3 levels ago, basically an entire day of play/grinding.

:D I also blame From Software somewhat though Sekiro had a bit of story.

It has ground effects  I thought it was "just" a giant curved display, then saw it's a roll-up LED that folds over your head once you sit. Super cool idea, honestly. Seems like something out of Star Trek in the 90s.

Just in case anyone was wondering how cat friendly your xbox series x is, I can assure you they love it. Woke up to fresh scratches all up and down the side of my xbox and a fat grey/white cat sitting on the top of it like business as usual. On an unrelated note, I will be selling freshly made cat pelt belts.

I originally heard that most big box stores will have them stocked by mid February.

I get that scoring was too easy, but this is evolution, I cant make any shot, when I post up, I can have foot on the guy and I will end up with some stupid fadeaway or heavily constested hook, that shooting release is impossible, I dont get it, Is it just me being a noob or the fact I am playing as the Knicks?

You using the shot stick? I think there's a meter for aiming the shot this year as well. I think it can be turned off or you can just use the buttons.

I am using buttons, but it seems like you need to time it perfectly to hit a shot, I dont get it.

I figured out shooting, it was probably just the Knicks, but how to score in the post? The timing on that is impossible, I can have Kanter on Kyrie Irving and I never make a simple hook, wtf, by the way I use analog on post shots, but its impossible it seems.

Dead Cells, after all the updates, is such a blast. It was fun before, but giving you control of a bunch of modifiers to make your experience as tough or as easy as you like opens the whole game up. You still have to find all the cool stuff the game hides, but it's not a chore anymore. Once you've unlocked what you like, making builds is easy and you can just play. I wish more games did this one.

After 15 hours with CP2077 I've hit a wall. To be honest, story isn't a reason I typically play games, and outside of that it just doesn't hold up to other RPGs like it. It's fun, I'd probably give it a 6.5-7/10, after updates I'm sure 7.5-8.

The more you play the more you can tell this game was nowhere near ready for release. They cut 50% of the stuff from the original demo a few years back, patched up whatever they could near the end to just rush it out. Nothing is polished. I saw a video comparing it to GTA, Mafia, etc. going back to 2002 and the corners they cut is just appalling. Water is awful, shadows are awful, so much is awful. They thought they could just deliver a pretty looking game and people would fawn over it. Sure some do, and sure, the base mechanics aren't bad. But this game is just average at best.

Sadly, this is exactly what happened with No Man's Sky. Nothing that was promised was delivered. The more I play, the less I like it. I see people often compare it to Skyrim at launch. Yea, Skyrim was buggy as hell, but that's because they tried to jam as much as possible into it and they had fully fleshed out the story and side quests where CP is just poop.

Huh. It's weird how the range of opinions on CB2077 are, but I guess that's expected based on expectations, platforms, and previous experience with the genre. I don't think it's without flaws, but in my experience the flaws were very limited to some clipping and hard crashes I had to deal with every three or four hours or so. Everything else was incredible.

To me the flaws really weren't the bugs. It was the gameplay. It just wasn't fun or polished. Sure, comparing it to GTA IV/V and RDR2 might be unfair, but they at one point said it's going to rival RDR2 in terms of polish and it didn't come close. It even feels like your character slides across the floor. I don't know. I soured on it quick.
