But I think at this point I'll wait until a definitive edition to play, if at all. They put out their mea culpa video today - finally, IMO - and they have a long, vague roadmap to improvement. And if I've learned anything the past two years, it's to not trust their timelines. I have both a PC that can run it and a PS5, but I don't know that I want to. It still seems so much less than what I expected.
Still glad I upgraded my PC this year. PoE runs so much better

After 15 hours with CP2077 I've hit a wall. To be honest, story isn't a reason I typically play games, and outside of that it just doesn't hold up to other RPGs like it. It's fun, I'd probably give it a 6.5-7/10, after updates I'm sure 7.5-8.
The more you play the more you can tell this game was nowhere near ready for release. They cut 50% of the stuff from the original demo a few years back, patched up whatever they could near the end to just rush it out. Nothing is polished. I saw a video comparing it to GTA, Mafia, etc. going back to 2002 and the corners they cut is just appalling. Water is awful, shadows are awful, so much is awful. They thought they could just deliver a pretty looking game and people would fawn over it. Sure some do, and sure, the base mechanics aren't bad. But this game is just average at best.
Sadly, this is exactly what happened with No Man's Sky. Nothing that was promised was delivered. The more I play, the less I like it. I see people often compare it to Skyrim at launch. Yea, Skyrim was buggy as hell, but that's because they tried to jam as much as possible into it and they had fully fleshed out the story and side quests where CP is just poop.
