Non tax payer mle is projected at 14.1 next season.
Two years at 14.1 with a player option for year two.
In the following off-season, he declines player option to re sign for 175% of previous salary (24.7m) for whatever length he wants. After that, we have full bird rights and he extends the Giannis window
Thats realistic. Thats happening.
That's what I wanted to tell those saying this. What, do you think someone was offering him a contract starting at 20m/yr, given his off the court history, he had a rough 1st half this season, and so far is a bench player here? Of course not.
And if anyone offers close to what we do, you figure he takes our deal, cuz it's been a good match thus far. He needs a place to call home.
If the Bucks commit enough of their MLE to him, he's pretty much coming back. I'd prioritize him far over Trent, who's just an offensive player and not a primary one. He's a bonus. The only complication is how to get a starting caliber center here. The solution may be to trade Dame for a good one, and another player, while saving salary. Then KPJ replaces Dame as point and #2 option.

We need to exist. We already have it.
