Not entirely. His article about finding joy at the start of the month says he hasn’t been used the way he is since his first few years in the league. He wants to be dominant again.
If you think this isn't about money for Butler i got some beach front property to sell you.

He wants to get paid. And paid by a team that doesn't suck.

“Not entirely” does not imply an either/or situation.

MikeIsGood wrote:Jaime played like **** until January, but he's turned it up since - especially when Jimmy was out. 11/5/4 on 48/44/75 splits in 6 starts, which lines-up to how he played last year. He's a do-it-all player, and he doesn't slouch on D either; this has always been his MO. I loved him at UCLA and Heat fans loved him last year.

He's not been good this year and I am skeptical to be clear, but I think the Heat as a whole are just a mess this year tbh and I don't think Butler is helping things at all. No way I'd trade *for* him, but getting him in a trade would be great.

You gotta take everything Heat related with a grain of salt right now. Bams numbers are way down, you could make a case his regression this season needs a deep dive investigation. His FG% is down to his career low by a wide margin and he’s averaging the same points at age 27 as he did as his 1st year as a full time starter at age 22. There’s merit to Jimmy Butlers situation is ruining the team right now outside of Tyler Herro picking up the slack and Kel’el Ware showing promise as a rookie. Everything else has been inconsistent about that team to put it lightly. I still like Jacquez as a Swiss Army knife wing that plays D. He’s not Khris Middleton but he’s a capable player when he’s locked in. Again, I don’t think anyone besides Herro is really locked in down in South Beach and he’s just benefiting from everyone else looking pedestrian. They’re not exactly steam rolling their schedule.
RIP Kobe Forever. GOAT 8-24. Long Live Giannis

Mine too but last year was the time to get him when they were not saddled by the 2nd Apron. Horst should've traded Portis to get a pick to add to last years 1st.

To me the closest thing to Deni Avdija is Jake Laravia. He is not as good as Deni but he has really stepped up on both sides of the court. Like Avdija, he has the size to play both forward positions.

He shared his opinion that Jaime is not a needle mover. I don't think he's wrong. For some reason that is upsetting to you. Why? I do not know.

Last year was the year to try and pry him from Washington, who remains a tragic franchise. Think PDX is smart enough to hold onto him unless they get a king's ransom.

The problem for Portland is they're stuck in the middle, they have no chance at the playoffs, but win too much to get a high pick. They acquired Avdija a year too early.

lol no one's upset. i just found it amusing.

edit: and to clarify, i also dont think Jacquez is a needle mover, nor does anyone else. my amusement was due to the obviousness of his original statement which my analogy must have done a poor job explaining.

Play style matters.. can Jaquez create chaos, deflectiions, stops and thereby play fast break style basketball with our 2 superstars that thrive in that style of play? Never really watched him but that's what I want to know. Basically can he be what AJJ is but less spazzy and a better shooter? That's what we need. Timely cuts to the basket after brush screens? That's what we need, not what Bobby and KM do; we done with the 90s bball

Ugly but would you all take Beal over Middleton, if we joined in on that Butler mess.

Giannis is the only star we have that thrives in fast breaks. Dame is walk it up, and pound the ball 90s style all day. Doc is working to break him of those habits. Besides last game, Khris is the one who pushes the ball up the court.

No, Jaquez is none of those things. Jaquez can attack the basket some, and that's about it.

Heard Myles Turner wants 30m for his next contract and Indy ain't willing to do it.

A. Would we want to give him that?
B. Would we have any avenue to get him? (My initial thoughts are no).

My bingo card didn't include Giannis becoming functional at all 3 of: low post, pick and roll rim runner and ft shooter.. it also didn't include Dame becoming a triple double machine type. These mfers changing their whole game to win this with each other. Horst, do your magic and surround them with guys who have grit on D, can shoot and can play fast.

The cap is going to balloon during coming years, 30 million isn't that bad.

Brook + Bobby make $35.5M combined. Turner being able to full switch and space makes it worth it to give him that if they’d could trade for him. Doubt the Pacers send him to the Bucks though.

PSA for everyone that still criticizes Dame.. it was cute but you have been officially proven wrong now. His points, assists and TS% are almost all the same or even better than in 2017 and 2018 when he was 4th and 6th in MVP voting. He's at 25 ppg, 7+ apg, and .622 TS% which is all great. He's been here less than 2 yrs and made 2 all star teams. He's in the conversation already of being a top 3 all time Bucks point guard. Oscar/Sam/Dame... what other PG made 2 all star games with us? Sam has more years in and got us to the ECF.. Jrue has a ring but doesn't have the numbers. A finals appearance would put Dame top 2, I think.

I don't get why you say things like this. Bradley Beal is averaging 17ppg and hitting 40% from 3... his TS% is .582... at worst he's a very rich man's Malik B. If you go with KM at the deadline I won't be mad.
