AV Club, Indiewire, Gizmodo, Polygon, all calling it average at best. But the worst thing about it is that it's inconsequential. I thought this was going to be the movie that saved the MCU, and it turns out it's a pointless standalone.
Dan Murrel has what would seem to be a pretty good review of it. Grabbed if your looking for more then a stand alone movie it sounds like you'll be disappointed.
Not sure why you'd expect more then a stand alone from a Deadpool movie but if so then I guess ya it won't be for you

I've never been the biggest Deadpool fan, admittedly. The first one was a fine novelty, and I don't remember Deadpool 2 at all.
But I feel like the hype was this was going to be the MCU's big comeback. It's the 43rd ranked Marvel movie on Metacritic at the moment, sitting a spot above Thor 2 and a spot below Iron Man 2. It's below Thor: Love and Thunder, which is one of the biggest pieces of **** I've ever paid to see.
I mean the hype was for Hugh Jackman playing Wolverine in a Deadpool movie and for the amount of easter egg/cameos that will be in it. Seems like your hoping the movie was gonna be something it never set out to be.
From the reviews I've seen if your a fan of the previous Deadpool movies you'll love this. (You aren't so you probably wont)
Deadpool was never gonna be some linchpin for the MCU though. It just isn't what the character (or the movies) is/are
I mean the end credits of Deadpool 2 completely retconned the igniting point of Deadpool 2 lol. Deadpool is a stand alone franchise and obviously won't be for everyone
