We got absolutely zero long-term rotation players out of those picks, all 17 or higher. That's a pretty huge deal when you talk about team building, and having to make up for those mistakes using free agent dollars.
Don't forget the golden blunder: signing Giannis for a 4 year deal and insisting on keeping the 5 year max for Parker. That was the dumbest move ever especially considering Giannis by that point was more better than Parker. If they'd done that with no options, they'd have more time with Giannis to surround him with good players. They should've cut their losses with Parker and trade him in 2016 when he still had value where at least you could've gotten 2 1sts with both being pro.
Another note: hiring Jason Kidd. The dude only got hired b/c of his friendship with Lasry. Separating the personal from the professional flew through Marc's head. Kidd may be a HOF pg, but the dude was a hack as a HC who cost the Bucks 2 2nds and had initiated a failed coup d'etat in Brooklyn with Billy King. Him insisting on MCW instead of the Lakers pick from the Suns should piss off a lot of Bucks fans.
2015 draft was rough. I don't think any team was willing to move up in the draft and asides from Booker and Turner, it was brutal.
2016: They should've drafted Domantas Sabonis and gone with BPA instead of need. Instead they clogged their C rotation with Henson, Plumlee and other bad deals. Too bad they missed out on Murray.
2017: That one was brutal. They could've tried and make a move for Mitchell or even Bam. Sadly they were gone, but with the next pick, the Hawks took Kevin Huerter who sadly would've been a great fit for this team. Plus giving up the Clips' 1st for Grievis that turned into OG Anunoby was brutal.
It makes you wonder how they whiffed on so many picks and how nobody outside of Giannis, Brogdon and Middleton developed and were resigned.
