Oh dang, I just googled the release date and it said April - I should have clicked further.

They should just hold off until the PS5 gets released and drop it then on with even better graphics available.

They want to hit PC market as quickly as possible for rev rec, obviously. I recall an article on Witcher 3 from maybe a year ago about how PC was the biggest "platform" for the title, so CDR is probably thinking along the same lines.

Also, I'm sure it would not represent a small delay to update all of textures in a massive game to release it on Next Gen instead. I imagine that's a call that, realistically, they would have had to make 1-2 years ago.

Well, I look at TLOU 1 as a rough guide - it was released on PS3 in June 2013. PS4 was released November/December 2013. The remastered TLOU was released in June of 2014.

I don't know if all of the game studios have a good sense of what the PS5 specs will be right now so that they can plan ahead, but if you're a console owner, it bites a bit to buy game to play on current gen tech when a new console is basically 3-4 months away.

I know what you mean. An added year delay isn't a small deal, though, and it wouldn't be a "remaster" in this scenario - it's building the game for PS5. I don't know, but I imagine there's a difference there dev-wise.

Don't forget Cyberpunk 2077. April for TLOU2 and May for Cyberpunk

TLOU2 is May 29 and Cyberpunk is April 16.

I'll be honest - Cyberpunk doesn't look that interesting to me right now. I'll have to wait and see on the reviews.

Cyberpunk got pushed back to Sept 17.

Gahhh!

Modded a refurbished Switch for my little nephew for his bday. He was sitting at the doctor's office with his mom and some grown adult snatched it out of his hands and ran out. People are the **** worst.

I know this wasn't the intent of your post, but what mods did you make to it?

Sorry to hear about that. I hate people.

Jailbroke it so that it can play most Switch games (and a ton of other roms) for free. Downside is that you can never go online with it. You have to manually update everything.

Played Wolcen, which is the new ARPG. Buggy mess. Some pretty good parts. A lot of broken systems, including one bugged talent that makes doing anything but it so suboptimal. Will not continue playing it.

I thought the combat feel was just terrible, on top of all of the rest of the mess that it's been. I would hope it improves in end game, but I had no desire to wade through it to get there.

Slow is fine - Grim Dawn feels great. But they didn't execute slow well. It feels stuck in mud.

That’s interesting. Eli Roth is pretty terrible though.

Probably one of the last games I'd think of to pick as a movie.

Good luck slogging through 90 minutes of corny Borderlands jokes. Love Borderlands the game, won't watch a movie of it

I love the series but I have no idea what direction they'd take with a movie. That said, the Telltale series did a great job telling a good narrative story in that universe.

People loved "Deadpool" which I feel like is similar in humor, so there will probably be an audience for this. It will also probably be terrible.

I have one of those Switch Game Passes to use by June somethingorother. I'll find something to use it on, but was wondering if anyone here has experience with Animal Crossing and had thoughts to share.

I've never played it, and not gonna lie, initial impressions from the book's cover (so-to-speak) leave me thinking it looks...let's go with stupid. But I see all kinds of people freaking out over the Nintendo Direct yesterday, and the Reddit sub has some memes about replacing Stardew Valley / Stardew Valley for 2020.

Are they really that similar?
