Mo for Haslem
Redd for Howard/filler
Sign Duhon as a free agent - just to get Luke all worked up
Go with:
PG: Sessions/Duhon
SG: Mayo/Bell
SF: Howard/Simmons/Dez
PF: Yi/Haslem
C: Bogut
That'd work for next season.

I'm fine with that as a general plan, but it's going to take Yi, not CV, to get Mayo so you're going to have a PF slot of Haslem/CV, not Yi/Haslem.

i know your thoughts on mo in general but people on here are comparing mayo to roy and then saying that mo would fit perfectly in portland for a reason so i think if given the opportunity we need to give that a shot.
so i'd be cool with:
mo/sessions
mayo/mo/bell
howard/simmons/dez
cv/?
bogut/gadz
but hammond would have to get us a backup 4, and i don't know how he'd do that

You add Mayo or Beasley at #3, along with say B.Lopez at #8 and then you still have CV, Redd and Mo to deal if you choose. If you can swing a trade of say Redd for a C, then you could take someone like J.Alexander or Gordon at #8.
Just thinking outside the box

I think it would take Yi/8 though. What are people's thoughts on that deal?
I agree that it would take Yi/8 to get #3. I'd do it, but as you know Mayo isn't the guy who I would target with that pick.

Explain to me why Yi can't play Mehmet Okur style center?

Okur is 263 pounds, Yi is 245 AT BEST. Okur also plays with a top 3 PG who knows how to create and get every player the ball in the right spots. Okur also has some back to the basket game, while Yi still needs to develop that. Okur has also been a 7.5+ rebound guy the last four years, while Yi has a lot of work to do to get to that level.
Yi is not a center. Love is not a center. Yi/Bogut >>> Love/Yi.
