Should the Bucks hire Jason Kidd (as coach pg 43)?

As long as we don't give up any 1st round picks I'm more then fine with hiring Kidd as POBO. I understand he doesn't have any experience in a FO besides being a Head Coach for 1 year, but he's been involved with the NBA for the last 20 years, I'm pretty sure he has an idea on what the responsibilities are for the POBO and how to execute them. Also in that span of 20 years I'm sure he has identified who the Good GM's and Coaches are and I"m willing to give him the benefit of doubt that he will surround himself with highly qualified people.

After sleeping on it I still feel the same way. I hope this happens. We are taking a risk no doubt, and this could potentially blow up in our face, but if Kidd is able to thrive in his role then we will have found our Riley, Ainge, West etc... that could have our franchise running in the right direction for the next couple of decades.

I completely agree. I slept on it. And, I awoke thinking: Why the **** not! We've been mired in a routine and a pattern of accepted mediocrity for so long. I get ur point but Billy Kings entire NBA accomplishment list is a joke on it's own. Kidds credentials as a player almost outweighs anything King has done. So while I agree with ur argument, it certainly doesn't apply here at all. I'd rather give a fresh start to an unknown and see what he's got then continue to trust some hack that has done zippo during his tenure just because he has a piece of paper laminated and hung on the wall behind his desk.

It's not an either or situation. The two options are not keep Billy King or hire Jason Kidd. Even if Billy King is not qualified for the job, Jason Kidd is even less qualified, so he has no right to try and push him out the door.

It was a power play by someone who had no leverage, which is why he's now trying to come here and rebound with us. And I can't believe anyone is actually for it.

I'm not for it at all. I want no parts of Jason Kidd. I'm just not mad at him for going over Billy Kings head the way he did like most ppl are.

I could see Hammond staying on board if he chooses to. He has experience to help Kidd and essentially would be in a similar role that he was in at Detroit but could keep his GM title. I wouldn't completely rule out the Kidd/Hammond/Drew scenario. I'm guessing the new owners at the very least discussed bringing in a President to oversee everything, maybe not necessarily that it was Jason Kidd & 2 days after the draft (if this story plays out).

I said it was a mistake at the time and i'll say again, when the owners came in and didn't insert their own people and gave drew/hammond basically interim tags was pretty big mistake.

We just got done with one of the most important drafts and heading into FA with a GM that has zero direction.

We're wasting time and now are about to make an irrational move.

In 1982 when I took the test, 1600 was the max score. You got 400 for filling out your name correctly. There were 60 math and 60 English questions, each worth 10 points each. The questions started out very easy, and got progressively harder. They were multiple choice, with 5 selections.
A score of 670 would be 27/120 questions right.

Kidd scored higher than our Ivy League president (580). SAT scores mean very little to me.
