I have a feeling Atlanta will make Teague available before Schroeder. Will be a lot cheaper for a few more years...

Hawks need bench scoring - Knight/Middleton for Schroder?

I really don't think that's a good trade for us. I know a lot of people love Schroder, but I don't see him as a fit with Giannis and Jabari.

I'd do Middleton + Knight.

I would do any combination of players sans Giannis/Jabari/Sanders for Schroder, really.

Knight and Middleton for Schroder. Then Sanders for Len/TJ Warren + First + Salary filler. Gives us lots of young assets, plus we are right back in the thick of things for a top 5 pick.

Schroder looked nice today. If he keeps getting shirked minutes wise, I'd def make an offer. Won't get my hopes up though.

Is there any reason the Wolves don’t go into rebuild with youngsters Rubio & Dieng as their core and trade vets Pekovic & Thad Young – whom they won’t win anything with anyway - for lottery pick(s)?

The Celtics have Rondo, Avery & Green as solid vet starters who they haven’t been able to trade. Would Celtics give up promising rookies Smart and Young to get TWolves’ starting bigs Pekovic and Thad Young?

Wolves tear it down & get early pick(s) – Celtics build it up & get prime vets – BUCKS get promising rookies

3 TEAM / 9 PLAYER

MIL-IN- Smart, JYoung
MIL-OUT- Knight-E, Middleton-E, 1st(Mil-T3), **

MN- IN- 1st(Mil-T3) Knight-E, Middleton-E, Faverani, Thornton-E, Bass-E, **
MN-OUT- Pekovic, TYoung,

BOS- IN- Pekovic, TYoung
BOS-OUT- Smart, JYoung, Faverani Thornton-E, Bass-E

** if Buck's own 1st is #7 or later then MN also receives 1st(LAC) from Bucks

Smart / Wolters / Marshall
Young / Mayo / Bayless
Giannis / Dudley / Inglis
Parker / Ersan / OBryant
Sanders / Henson / Zaza

Trade Targets

Post#72 » by machu46 » Tue Nov 11, 2014 11:34 am

What do you guys love so much about Schroder? I've never understood why people were so enamored with. The only thing that's ever really stood out to me is that he's quick, but he can't shoot, is nothing special as a passer, and isn't anything special in terms of size either. Is he good enough at anything to make up for the fact that we'd be building around 3 players that can't shoot? (4 if you include Larry) I just don't see it.

Trade ideas for Rivers, Lamb, and Shroeder are always realistic and will continue until said players have long been retired........#bucksrealgm

How can Bucks Real GM be so in love with those players when none of them are as good as Alec Burks?

Any Player that is under the age of 29 and projects to fit great next to Giannis and Jabari is the player I am targeting. At 29 years old, the player will still have 3-4 very solid seasons left in them, and once they are up, that is when we are going to be looking at paying some of our home grown talent like Parker.

Realistically, we need a low post scoring threat, so going after someone like Al Horford would be a great addition in my books.

Build the team around Parker, Horford, and Sanders starting, and Giannis playing the Manu Ginobli role off the bench.

I think the correct answer is a predisposition for less than 20 wins for $1000.

Had a dream last night that we traded Brandon Knight for a lottery pick. Wet dream you might ask? No, we then signed Allen Iverson to a 3-year deal.

There are different ways to quantify the additional value provided by some of these names. I think many of the guys, Schroder for example, provide a growth name at a needed position for a relatively cheaper price. Most understand this roster is going to grow based around Giannis and Parker and the 2015 pick, so adding pieces that have a perceived good fit make sense.
