Chucky and Wahl are a nice 1-2 combo. Crowl is poised to take that Jr. big man jump we've seen with previous big men. Looks like Davis will make a jump, too. Klesmit looks like he'll be contributor. So do Ilver and Hodges. Others as well. There could be a lot of players ready to contribute to the tea.
I was thinking this could be a bad shooting team, even by UW standards. Now I'm thinking they could actually be a good shooting team (insert Uma Thurman "hot damn" gif).
Not sure about McGee as the back up point. I think he'll be OK, but not convinced. Hodges as the 3rd big is worrisome. He needs to develop and be ready for 20 mins a night.
Chucky, Wahl, Crowl and Hodges have to stay healthy. Unproven or nonexistent depth after them.
If somehow they could add a ready big I'd be real happy with the team. I know it's a small ball era, but if Ilver and/or Gilmore have to get extended minutes in the post, I don't see how that's turns out well.
Still, all in all, starting to really like this team next year. It's looking a like a deep roster.
I think Potrykus had a solid take on it.
Yes, terrible competition. I'm not printing another conference title banner, but given terrible competition,
imagine if they were missing all of those 3s against them. Even if competition was too easy, they were hitting the shots.
