I think the additions have helped Brook alot. You don't have cover up with better defenders playing in front of you.
Having mobility on the perimeter has definitely mitigated some of the detriments of Brook's drop coverage. There has been better collapsing to the paint and limiting free floaters where before guys like Harden, Trae, etc would relentlessly feast in the past. Still an issue, but not as glaring now.
Sure, but the defense has been better with Brook off the floor the last 2 games, and its been the same with Brook on or off all season. That's telling when the other center is Portis. Brook is a wall at the rim, but directly and indirectly gives up the 3, which is killer in today's game.
The exciting thing Brook is doing is hitting the 3. He's up to 38% on the season. This is his career high.
