Walters: Wolves to Offer Love 4 yr, $60m

Yeah, it's making me kind of nervous. Surely the Wolves must be willing to give him whatever he wants at this point so I wonder what the holdup is.

Last season during a town hall meeting, Kahn basically said to everyone in attendance that Love is going to be with the Wolves for a long time, and will do whatever it takes to keep him here.

So yeah, I don't understand the holdup.

Yeah, I don't get it either. The dude is balling out of his mind and the Wolves/Kahn are trying to short-change him.

Do they not want him here for as long as possible? Taylor isn't trying to be cheap now is he?

Probably squabbling over 4 or 5 year max. I also read an article saying Taylor is waiting on what Stern does with Gordon.

That could be it, but idk why that has so much to do with Love. I don't see Gordon as a true max player. And what would it matter if Gordon got a 4-year deal or 5-year deal in relation to what Love gets?

He's been one of our most consistent players right along. I think this is different from what I'm used to, because of the lockout situation. Suddenly these new rules come in and you knew by the end of January something was going to have to happen one way or the other. ... But he's been consistent in his games and that's all you can ask for."

Beasley did volunteer to help get the deal done, but said he wanted 20 percent for his efforts. "I'm expensive," he joked.

No, if Gordon was going to get a 4 yr max or less, then Kahn would stay tough on 4 years but if Stern gave Gordon the 5 yr max then Kahn would have to give Love the 5 yr max as well.
