Last season during a town hall meeting, Kahn basically said to everyone in attendance that Love is going to be with the Wolves for a long time, and will do whatever it takes to keep him here.

So yeah, I don't understand the holdup.

Yeah, I don't get it either. The dude is balling out of his mind and the Wolves/Kahn are trying to short-change him.

Do they not want him here for as long as possible? Taylor isn't trying to be cheap now is he?

We don't really know the details or logistics to just assume that Kahn and Taylor don't want to pay him. It's all heresy.

That could be it, but idk why that has so much to do with Love. I don't see Gordon as a true max player. And what would it matter if Gordon got a 4-year deal or 5-year deal in relation to what Love gets?

The only possible thing I could think of is that there has been a trade proposal between the Wolves and Hornets (seems unlikely). Still not sure how that matters though.

I think you mean hearsay, right lol?

I didn't know Kahn and Taylor were bad theologians haha.

LOL! Depends on who you talk to!

If someone says, "Shrink, do you think a guy is cheap if he takes his time before agreeing to pay somebody $60 mil?" ... I'm going with heresy!

Capital H, one-step under rev's definition "Heresy!"

BTW, I'm not enjoying the Nets Trade Thread, watching as some of them plan their cap space for next year while including Kevin Love's $13.5 mil cap hold.

Just get a deal signed, so we can stop having people talk about this.

Is the contract situation becoming a distraction?

"I don't think so," Adelman said. "I'm sure it is for him. It's a big deal. Obviously something is going to have to happen by tomorrow. We'll see. (But) he has been consistent. He's been one of our most consistent players right along. I think this is different from what I'm used to, because of the lockout situation. Suddenly these new rules come in and you knew by the end of January something was going to have to happen one way or the other. ... But he's been consistent in his games and that's all you can ask for."

Beasley put it best: "Kevin is a great player," he said. "This organization needs him, just like every (other) organization wants him."

Beasley did volunteer to help get the deal done, but said he wanted 20 percent for his efforts. "I'm expensive," he joked.

I guess I haven't paying to that thread too much. I didn't even know that was being discussed lol.

No, if Gordon was going to get a 4 yr max or less, then Kahn would stay tough on 4 years but if Stern gave Gordon the 5 yr max then Kahn would have to give Love the 5 yr max as well.
