PF - Prince, Vanderbilt
First of all, if you watched Juancho last year, you saw he was better as a SF next to Vanderbilt or McDaniels. But look, I’m not saying it’s pretty. I just think Rosas has a type, and having 4 SF/PFs who all offer something kind of unique is a luxury, especially in a long season when injuries happen.
The Wolves should have close to 80- points a game from Russell, Ant and Towns (that doesn’t even mention Beasley). At this point we just need guys who can fill a role and play it well.. McDaniels and Vanderbilt have proven they can fit a role (depends on what Vanderbilt can get this off-season). Okogie offers something to in this conversation. Hernangomez is more of an unknown. I will double down and say he looked good when he was next to Vando and McDaniels. He plays SF naturally with his cuts and willingness to shoot deep 3s. He also is outsized when he is asked to guard opposing PFs—he’s tall but not strong to handle that.
Look, I get your take and I'm not even saying that it doesn't make sense. But that lineup sucks and it's super small. So basically he wants to play four small forwards and say screw rebounding, interior defense and shot blocking. That could be true, I am quickly losing confidence in Rosas.
