your body makes a good point

my body's logic is that for every minute i run is another minute i live longer. so either i skip running and just drink a beer, or i put my running shoes on so i can drink prune juice when i'm 80.

So for every minute of your prime you waste running, you get a minute of elderly life tacked on when you're **** your pants and generally unaware of what the hell is going on around you. Its kind of like buying a bond, except when the maturity date comes, they give you a pillow with head-lice instead of a lump sum payout.

I think I'm starting to convince you. Ditch the running and go buy a carton of Camels.

And he totally reminds me of a character from Breaking Bad.

Ey Basti, could you recommend some Norwegian films, music or maybe tv series or shows to me? I'm actually learning Norwegian for a full year now, and I see you're from there. 8-)

If you're into some dark and twisted humor watch Svidd Neger (don't be misled by the racist sounding title) or Kill Buljo which is a parody of Kill Bill.

Other than that one of my favorite movies is Elling.

In other news, I had a chat and handshake with the King and Queen of Sweden today. They seem like a nice couple.

They were on a (unofficial and private) visit over at the small old fishing village where I work at. As they were walking past our restaurant the Queen of Norway remembered how she had eaten at our restaurant some ten years ago so they stood in front of our restaurant for a few minutes. The Queen of Sweden was born and raised in Germany and both my bosses and I are as well so we figured we could have a casual chat in German. My boss actually used the informal you to speak to her.

Nice! :D It was said to me while learning Norwegian that the formal you is used only when you speak to the Queen and the King. So your boss acted like a boss.

i've come to the conclusion that many heat fans are actually just 12 year old girls. they are easily offended and they believe they're all precious snowflakes.

Yeah, I was told the same thing back in the day but I figured I would never have to use it in real life.

Thing is, my boss wasn't even aware of what she did. She only realized after they were gone and I told her. But apparently the Queen of Sweden didn't take offense to that although she replied to us with the formal you :D

Gotta love that they didn't mind being treated like regular people. :D

And my god, this is my 1st year visiting this forum in the pre-draft period, and I didn't even dream I'd be so sick of all the speculations. People are restless with all the trade ideas, it's unbearable to read anymore.

There's more speculation this year than I remember in past years. I think because the draft is so flat. There's no clear #1 and any one of five players could easily be picked first (and at least that many potentially available at 9). Add to that the top four tams have all said they were at least entertaining the possibility of trading down plus the Wolves openly trying to trade up. Throw in the variable of having a brand new guy in charge and you have the perfect storm of speculation.

Yeah, it's a huge mess. And people are not talking enough about the safest and most probable option of them all - bringing a vet SG.

Anyway, can't wait for the draft.

His dream will die when Orlando drafts him at #2 just so that they could call him Orlandipo. :p

Thankfully, I was without power for 15 hours Friday evening going into Saturday. West metro cities (Plymouth) I believe are still without power until tomorrow. I couldn't imagine being without power for 4 days straight unless I'm out of town camping, of course.
