Wouldn't you be if you're getting harassed after having a meal?

Absolutely.

I take it as a good thing. He seems to be cut from the same cloth as Wiggins and Rubio, in that regard. Not really wanting to be in the spotlight.

Shooter in column tomorrow: "It looks now that Karl-Anthony Towns for sure will be the Timberwolves' choice." Me: Nothing decided. #twolves

Who is Shooter? Am I missing something here? lol.

Good to hear though, I will say that I am probably more comfortable with Towns at this point, but i'd be ecstatic with Okafor too. Russell wouldn't be terrible, but not as good of a fit...still should end up being a stud though. That's all that matters.

I think he will watch Towns and see parallels with KG. And with how well that worked out the first time, I don't think he'll be able to pass up the opportunity.

I think too many people are assuming that Okafor can't really impress in a workout either. A big man with that footwork, finishing ability, touch, handles...that's going to be impressive. When he sees the massive size of Okafor to go along with all those skills he will be impressed.

I think Okafor is really going to show best on film, I don't see him impressing a ton in an empty gym. Not saying he will disappoint, just that he will look about as expected. Flip seems to be really dialed in on what Okafor is all about.

Towns is more athletic and can shoot it from anywhere, he could really shine in that setting like he did in that youtube video posted a few days ago. I gotta agree with Klomp, a Towns workout could sway Flip to Towns. Especially if what everyone is telling him looks to be reality.

The more I've thought about it I've come around and flipped Porzingis and Okafor in my big board, I'd rather take him at #1 than Okafor.

Is he pretty good/reliable? I'm not up to date with all the writers up in Twin Cities besides a few.

Shooter isn't exactly Adrian Wojnarowski, he is a guy who throws a bunch of stuff out there and some of it might be right or way off.

I wouldn't do that, all your doing is setting yourself up for a bigger disappointment, you know Porzingis isn't likely an top at #1.

Building off what FW said, what is Okafor going to show in a workout that he hasn't shown in games. Really, the only two possibilities are free throw shooting and a mid-range game. Everything else he showed on the court at Duke. And a workout won't show anything defensively, which will remain a question mark going into the draft.

Meanwhile, we only saw a snippet of what Towns can do offensively in his time at Kentucky. So far in workout videos, we've seen handles and an effortless jumper as two areas of strength for Karl-Anthony, neither of which were on display during much of his freshman season.

I think he will show an improved midrange game and I think his athleticism will show. I think he is a bit underrated athletically.

What makes you feel that way? For me, I feel like Okfaor will be the pick until someone reliable says otherwise. All i've heard is how high Flip is on Okafor.

Yeah, not really buying Shooter here. It's apparently just a one line tidbit down on the page a bit.

Even if this was from a more reputable source, at this point I'm in don't believe anything you hear mode. It could easily be a ploy, knowing the Lakers prefer Towns, to get them to pony up assets in a trade.

So the Jason La Confora of the Minneapolis area?

I'm not listening to any of that media stuff. I think the choice is simply too obvious for a variety of reasons for it not to be Towns.

Yeah to me nothing of much substance(especially considering the source), I think Flip is genuinely torn. I don't see anything becoming more clear until he watches them workout and then talks to them. Any report or tweet or whatever until that happens is just noise to me.

I think it would be irresponsible for Flip to already have his mind made up before he goes through the whole process. I agree he is legitimately torn. He has to be. He has a jack of all trades two way big, a dominating offensive big, and a PG that has a game that reminds people of the reigning MVP. It's a close call decision. Flip needs to take his time on it.

We could very well end up with Porzingis but that is because a team few spots below us offers an acceptable package for our #1 pick. Will have no problems taking on the European KG.

We can add the ideal PG for Flip's desired uptempo offense and a 7'1 mega small forward with shotblocking ability to that list.

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
