I think he will watch Towns and see parallels with KG. And with how well that worked out the first time, I don't think he'll be able to pass up the opportunity.
I think too many people are assuming that Okafor can't really impress in a workout either. A big man with that footwork, finishing ability, touch, handles...that's going to be impressive. When he sees the massive size of Okafor to go along with all those skills he will be impressed.
Building off what FW said, what is Okafor going to show in a workout that he hasn't shown in games. Really, the only two possibilities are free throw shooting and a mid-range game. Everything else he showed on the court at Duke. And a workout won't show anything defensively, which will remain a question mark going into the draft.
Meanwhile, we only saw a snippet of what Towns can do offensively in his time at Kentucky. So far in workout videos, we've seen handles and an effortless jumper as two areas of strength for Karl-Anthony, neither of which were on display during much of his freshman season.
