What if he didn't want to commit to 3 or 4 years at what appears to be low money?

Or maybe we just value flexibility more than a guy who figures to be our 8th or 9th man?

If the money is low then that brings us back to not liking him much.

9th man.

You need to fill out a roster.

Maintaining flexibility is a good thing as well.

I mean if we REALLY liked him we could've given him the full MLE.

Right. So we obviously didn't like him all that much. Looks like just a body. I was kind of hoping we would go for somebody a bit more splashy.

I'm sure they like him fine.

He's a nice player. And the kind that you need when you have an expensive roster. You can't just keep adding 10M+ guys every year to make a splash.

Good teams sign guys like this every year and they make a difference.

Don't discount the margins.

Not gonna lie. This is kinda dissapointing signing. God bit hopeful a bit that we were making space for someone better then this.

But we keep NAW, and I guess Miller will take alot of Prince big wing minutes, while Troy brown Jr maybe gonna he more of a vice Ant.

My guess is Miller spends most of the year in Iowa.

I love him, but he's not really NBA ready.

I have hope for Miller, hope he develops quicker then that. Intriguing all around package.

And I'm less dissapointed in the brown Jr signing now that I see we got shake milton. That's a total win to see that's who they were splitting the money on. Milton is a total baller backup, big PG that scores at will.

I have huge hopes for Miller. I think he's an easy NBA starter in another year or so. With star potential.

But he's still really raw. A lot of what he did in the G League was fantastic, but he was out-athleting and out-working guys. He needs to spend time in Iowa working on fundamentals (and completely overhauling his jumper).

And we're deep enough now that we don't need to rush him.

Hopefully Minott can be in the rotation this year and Miller can join him next.

I was mistaken about him having 20 point games this season. His best was 18. He shoots well. 87.2% FTs and 38% from 3.

At the very least he is a nice bench piece who should help stretch the floor.

“Swiss Army Knife,” huh?

And I was hoping Connelly could find another guy as useful as Kyle Anderson … hmmmm

Kinda funny to see Wolves/Lakers essential trade Prince for Brown Jr. He should be a solid rotation player to have around.

The Prince departure allowed us to Sign Shake, TBJ and Keep NAW.

Originally I heard that Wolves had a team option on year 2. If Spotrac can be trusted nobody has an option on year 2.

The wolves beat reporter has Brown and Milton with team options for year two.
Naw 2/9,
Milton 2/10,
and Brown 2/8

I will take that as solid info.

I would be skeptical about exact cap numbers until the contracts are acutally signed after the moratorium ends.

I really like his smooth shooting stroke and quick release.
I feel more comfortable about him repeating his shooting % than I do Milton or NAW.
Going to be a nice compliment to Ant in the draw and kick game.
