Anyways, as you said, you get him for rebounding, passing, moving without the ball, and being a decent positional defender.

Although I am intrigued by idea of bringing here a rebounder such as Love, I do believe that in order to maximize Edwards and KAT we should stretch the floor as much as possible or find someone цру can stretch toward the rim, i.e. be a lob treat, rim runner. I agree that Love can be an effective low post scorer, but should not be team's first option.

Malik Beasley in his current role is borderline a waste of his talent. If I had to trade one Wolf it would be him for a combo big. Unfortunately Thad Young is the only option that fits the mold that’s realistically available and SAS probably doesn’t want Beas.

Also, finding a third center somehow for when Naz is struggling would be ideal.
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

Beasley is getting run with the starting 4 he just cannot hit his shots. Good luck finding anyone who wants him while he plays like this .

Beasley is doing opposite of what Wolves needed to consider him as asset in upgrade trade. He needed to be lights out shooting, make it painful for Wolves to consider trading his shooting, while other teams clearly forgot about his baggage (shooting 40%+ from 3 will do that). Now his contract might be considered negative and he can’t be used as the filler.

That is my point. Beasley has been miserable since the preseason and is borderline unplayable. Unfortunately, we cannot bench him as his recovery/getting on track is essential either for trading or winning over the course of the season. He is in theory the 3rd or 4th best scorer on any given night and we simply cannot have both him and one of the big three missing a high volume of shots. When Dlo and Beasley go 2-15 from 3 and 4-22 from the field we are more likely than not doomed.

His struggles could be a good thing. Especially for those who don’t want an all-in trade for Simmons or ______. If he continues to stink it up, he remains a Wolf. And hopefully he miraculously finds his stroke after the trade deadline. If he does, Beasley as super scoring sniper 6th man makes for really good Wolves team.

Fwiw my favorite Beasley upgrade idea is Eric Gordon.

Addition by subtraction.

Sabonis plays hard, is a 20+ Ppg guy who will get rebounds. Oh yeah, and he’s not a whiner.

Lamb is a 10mil expiring.

And why not add some beef to our bigs.

I don’t understand how people can watch the same game and see something so incredibly different. When KAT is on the bench either because of injury, foul trouble, or rest, things fall apart. When KAT is off the floor everyone else struggles. Dlo might catch fire one night when KAT is on the bench and Beasley and Ant are certainly capable, but this KAT’s team. His defense has improved, his offense has never been more elite (blow by of other teams bigs is just fun to watch,) and outside of his tantrums he is legit close to the players. So given all of this, why would seek to get rid of him, much less for pennies on the dollar. KAT is worth the Harden package and more. Why, because he is young 25,) has more healthy seasons than not, has elite level offense and is loyal to the organization. Any trade involving KAT has to begin with an elite level player and 4 first round draft picks, plus pick swaps and probably a key role player. The only downside to a trade for another team for KAT is the relatively short time left on his deal, but with super max rules you gamble you could keep him. Now, do I think anyone wants to pay a king’s ransom for KAT, probably not. So the answer is move other guys and get some freaking size on the floor to back him up.

Yeah, I'm much more along this thought process....KAT does frustrate me with his lack of leadership, but I'd prefer to still add more size & vets next to him before hitting the trade KAT button.

I don't think he can be traded until 12/15, but I'd kick the tires on Muscala.

Poetl and Murray are both really good players on good contracts. DLo is a negative player on a horrible contract. Would take ALOT of picks. I can’t even imagine Pop dealing with DLo, especially when he goes through his periods of thinking defense is optional.

D-Lo will have better nights. Devonte Grahm is very underrated and is a difficult match up for most point guards.

Boucher or Jamychal Green seem like the two likeliest trade candidates at this point.

But it was against the two of the worst teams in the west. And it makes me sad The Pelicans may be a lot better than the wolves when they get Zion back.

I am starting to think Prince needs to go. Through 4 games I cannot quite find a reason for him to be on the floor. His shooting is streaky at best, his defense is overrated, and his rebounding is more myth than fact. Someone somewhere must want a 13mil expiring, maybe they even through us a backup big, but Prince needs to go.

What about Beasley, Layman, Okogie, and 1st round lottery protected for Buddy Hield? Or would it take McDaniels in the package to pry him away (Beasley, Layman, McDaniels)?
