Addition by subtraction.
Sabonis plays hard, is a 20+ Ppg guy who will get rebounds. Oh yeah, and he’s not a whiner.
Lamb is a 10mil expiring.
And why not add some beef to our bigs.
I don’t understand how people can watch the same game and see something so incredibly different. When KAT is on the bench either because of injury, foul trouble, or rest, things fall apart. When KAT is off the floor everyone else struggles. Dlo might catch fire one night when KAT is on the bench and Beasley and Ant are certainly capable, but this KAT’s team. His defense has improved, his offense has never been more elite (blow by of other teams bigs is just fun to watch,) and outside of his tantrums he is legit close to the players. So given all of this, why would seek to get rid of him, much less for pennies on the dollar. KAT is worth the Harden package and more. Why, because he is young 25,) has more healthy seasons than not, has elite level offense and is loyal to the organization. Any trade involving KAT has to begin with an elite level player and 4 first round draft picks, plus pick swaps and probably a key role player. The only downside to a trade for another team for KAT is the relatively short time left on his deal, but with super max rules you gamble you could keep him. Now, do I think anyone wants to pay a king’s ransom for KAT, probably not. So the answer is move other guys and get some freaking size on the floor to back him up.
