I'll take that over his 71% inside of 3 feet - not to mention his 11 FTAs and their accompanying foul trouble.

There is a fallacy here. Ask the average NBA fan what is the easiest shot to make. They will say the Dunk Shot. To that I tell them OK go out and play and see how many dunks you can make? NBA players can mostly all dunk, but getting opportunity to dunk is quite difficult. The dunk shot is actually one of the hardest shots to make. Embiid is better at getting that opportunity than most, but he can't dunk all the time. It's easy to get mid range 10-16 foot shots and if you can hit them at a high percent it's a good play.

He still can't take all his shots within 3 feet of the rim. Players need to be 3 level scorers to be most effective. Embiid is certainly one of the most efficient scorers in the league.

I still wouldn't be shocked to see them make a crazy run when Ja gets back but yes, they may be to far gone even though we are just a few weeks into the season. I still say they have hope, it's a long season, but they are in a big hole. They will have to get really hot and someone will have to fall off. I don't think its outs of the question that we could hit a huge slump ourselves. I don't see us dropping like 8 games in a row but I can see some bad stretches, one of the reasons I am so happy we have this big cushion, I think we will need it.
