Pretty much they only have Conley, and that deal is far from small, lol.

Beasley + Russell + Prince for Conley + Gobert works in the trade checker.

Would there a better "Big 3" in the NBA next year than Edwards-Towns-Gobert? I'm not sure. I think you can make the case that is the best BIG 3 in the entire NBA. Gobert and Towns are aleady All-NBA. You can envision Edwards making the leap to All-NBA next year.

Conley/Beverly/J-Mac
Edwards/Nowell/Moore Jr
Slomo/McDaniels/Bolmaro
Towns/Vanderbilt
Gobert/Reid/Kessler

I like Clarkson, but I also like Conley. I think he fits well with what we are looking for, (career 38.2% 3 point shooter, 5.6 assists to 2 turnovers per game. Averages a steal per game.) I would be stunned if the Jazz just gave Conley away. I would make that trade in a heartbeat, even if it cost 2 unprotected firsts.

P.S it wouldn’t just be the best big 3 or starting unit. It would probably be one of the best benches in the NBA as well. Top 4 in the west for sure as long as we are healthy.

Myles Turner would be nice and all, but in my opinion that would be like trading for a Corvette when you can get a Ferrari.

Gobert is pricey but his impact is so much greater than Turner's. And Turner will have to get paid after next year.

And in going after the Ferrari you've blow your life savings.

Unless I'm mistaken Gobert is not coming cheap. Utah is going to want a haul of picks, just like San Antonio received for Murray.

That's not the sense that I'm getting. But we'll have to wait and see since Utah is keeping things so close to the vest.

Murray is 25 and on a favorable good contract for two more years. Gobert is 30 and maxed out.

What? Yikes. That is a pass.

I was thinking a Beasley swap.

I wouldn't even entertain adding a 1st, Naz? Whatever...I wouldn't let it kill the deal if I really wanted him, but Beasley works straight up, I don't think there is much difference in trade value at all and it saves IND money today without a need to commit salary in the future. If they want a 1st I move on. I think Brogdon has more value and he got junk and a late 1st.

Gobert is tied down for the next four seasons, with the 4th being a player option. If he was on an expiring contract, I could see it being inexpensive...

Again, why would Indiana want Beasley when the Pacers already have the likes of Duarte, Hield and now Nesmith from the Brogdon trade?

Sacramento is such a mess, I’d rather resign Divencenzo than trade a future first for Huerter.

That's why I wrote Huerter out of ATL, but our boy Beasley (who is from ATL) - in. Collins trade?

I didn't specifically say they did. I have been clear that I see a pathway to a massive multiple team trade.

It'll likely convey as 2 seconds with protection, but it does hurt flexibility to add picks later. I agree though, I don't get why they would be sending out picks while they should still be in the rebuild of asset collecting.

Of course we'd be the deepest team in the league, we'd have 17 players.

I love that starting five and I’d only bring in Gobert if it’s a package deal with Conley. This trade looks awesome on paper, but we’d desperately need a scorer on the bench. I don’t think there’s one reliable scorer unless Jaden takes the next step (or two) offensively.

Nowell can be that scorer off the bench. I’d add Donte Divencenzo as well.

Conley is a negative asset IMO.-

1. Nowell is a reliable scorer. When given the ball and a chance to go to work, watch out. Naz has moments of brilliance but I agree he is not reliable. Bev is somewhere in between competent and reliable as a scorer.

2. I promise you at least one or two starters would play with the second unit in a staggered scheme. For example KAT usually plays the full first and third. This means Rudy probably sits halfway through the first and third and starts the second. He probably gets a two or three minute blow in the middle of the second and finishes the half. 6 + 9 = 15 minutes a half and 30 minutes a game. Probably get that up to 32 or 33. Anyway the point is Conley or Ant would likely always be on the floor alongside one of Rudy or KAT.

We'd have to get a third team involved.
