If that is what you’re getting for production, and he cannot defend, what the **** are we talking about here? I would expect more out of Luka Garza in those minutes. He may not be able to guard his mom, but he can least get buckets.
Don't get so hung up on raw numbers. Can Luka score more than he gives up? So far the answer is clearly "no". So where is the value?
Ingles' teams are WAY better on offense when he plays than when he sits. That's all that matters. His teams score more points the the opponent when he plays.
Is he a great defender? Nope. But he's far from a disaster. And this team absolutely needs to get better on offense - even if we take a bit of a hit on defense. Ingles helps with that.
My guess is you'll be calling for Ingles to sit down a whole lot less than you did for Anderson last year.
The points per minute volume was low, but always has been with him.
But his efficiency was great, shooting was great, and about 6.5 assist per 36 minutes was great for a forward and perfect fit for replacing Kyle.
He also really helped Orlando turn things around last year to win 50 games after years of being terrible.
The guy is just a winner and does winning things on the court.
