In addition, we have played the most games and the highest percentage of our schedule in the NBA thus far against teams above .500 (24 games out of our 35 games played). In addition, teams in front of us like the Rockets and Memphis have only played 20 and 16 games against teams above .500 respectively. Teams like Boston and Cleveland have only played 14 and 16 games.
The Wolves have gotten up for tough competition for three years, and stunk against bad teams for just as long. Facing more bad teams for the remainder of the schedule would be a boon for most playoff contenders, it isn’t necessarily true for the Wolves!
Still, we will soon see bad teams intentionally trying to lose, since the draft is so loaded this year.
We are still in good shape, despite ourselves.
