People make jokes, but after watching him play, I 100% believe that he is suffering from mental health issues. It's like he has some type of agoraphobia when it comes to getting fouled and having to make FTs.

If you've developed agoraphobia, situations that were once routine to a person can become stressful, anxiety induced events that can leave you broken. He needs to be in treatment with a sports psychologist if he isn't already. What he does when he gets the ball in the paint is not a normal reaction. That's fear.

Brooklyn has to make a decision, do you gut and start over or fine tune the roster to help this team win? There is enough turmoil already with Kyrie so if we have to deal with Simmons mental issues, the Nets are gonna suffer another setback. This has been an abysmal two years to say the least.

yea we're ina pickle right now, I'm torn IDK what we should do either. But looking around the league, this might be the last year we have a chance to win. Last years champions GS looks washed, Lakers is done, Clippers don't seem right, Miami looks like their window closed, nobody is scared of the Sixers. The teams we must over come is Boston, Bucks and Cavs. Not saying that's a easy task but we have a small chance. And the way the team has been playing with a boost of energy since Nash is gone, we're not looking too bad.

We just need Kyrie to get with the darn program and invest some energy. Our defense has looked good but our offense is stagnant, and this where we need Kyrie. Also Joe, Seph and Patty should start hitting their shots sooner than later. And last but not least we need Ben to at least be half the player he once was, at least half. I think we have a small shot, I wouldn't blow it up just yet. I guess we can wait to the trade deadline. Hopefully Warren can come back and contribute, and we need to trade one of Seth, Patty, Joe Harris for a 2 way player and/or a big. It's a lot to ask but I think the right coach can come in and help. Vaugh is not even a great coach but he is a coach nonetheless and we're looking alot better.

Unless miracles happen & this team looks unstoppable, you blow it up at the trade deadline. It's hard to imagine a team comes forward with a great offer before the deadline, especially since there's many players that can't be moved until December or January. Anything short of looking unstoppable, you rebuild. One injury to KD and we're toast. Kyrie & Ben are not reliable enough to ride things out with relatively long Championship odds.

Watching Simmons last night, he looked so disinterested and was just looking to get his minutes in and leave the game asap. I don’t know anymore. I’m not against player development but player development is an experiment when you don’t have so much money invested in a team.
You can’t be 4-7 and have 500 million invested in a roster that was supposed to have championship aspirations We should reset and move on if rebuilding is the goal.

This is the least fun I've ever had. And I've watched through some really putrid seasons.

You've summed up exactly where I am at this time. Personally, I've always thought it was counter-intuitive to get better by dumping your best players. You then not only have to be lucky to obtain that "special" player, but recoup what you gave up. Maybe the Spurs getting Tim Duncan made "tanking" look better than I believe it is. But they did not gut their team, with Robinson and Elliott hurt, to do it. The Sixers took this to the extreme IMHO, and after years they are only just back to competitive again. I think Embid is the only one of their firsts left. Simmons brought them Harden, but any benefit from that is yet to be proven. I can't remember, but I do not think they gave up a first pick to trade for Harris, and right now Maxey, a recent "normal" draft pick, is probably their second best player. I'm admittedly "old school", but I believe it is less painful to re-tool via smart trades and drafting, if you are already competitive.

Kyrie has been our biggest problem. but he had been playing great until this latest fiasco and I think his absence hurts. If he is truly an anti-Semite then there might be the necessary "Nexus" for the team or league to prevail. But it appears the Players Union thinks not. Based on his anti-vax and other weird beliefs, I think we have to differentiate between evil and just stupid. My biggest problem with him, before this, was his lack of availability. I think he learned that lesson. If he is as smart as he thinks he is there is still hope that he, or his entourage, can rethink his internet antics.

Mine seems to be an unpopular opinion right now. So I'll make it worse with my Udoke thoughts. Organizations can have rules regarding fraternizations within the unit. So I cannot question Boston's decision. And I am ignorant of the facts. I just, again, think there should be a differentiation between boorishness and abuse in determining punishment in matters regarding women. I hope we consider that, as much as public opinion, in evaluating Ime's fit. It's NYC, there is always outrage, particularly among the internet media. I don't care who is hired. The choice seems to be between a great offensive mind and a defensive specialist. I just don't want the fear of the "slings and arrows" to be determinative after, and in spite of, due diligence.
