Anyway I think this team is going to be better then what the writers are saying. I agree with Prelude. I dont think they are going to be a playoff team, but if they make it I wont be surprised.
People especially on other boards think that since VC left this team is going to suck. I totally disagree.
The D is going to be better so we wont have to have two players scoring 30 pts to win. With a balanced offense we should be ok. That is another issue with Frank. He always depended on one player to be the offensive focal point. Yeah VC was the man but if you spread it out to the others. He would have still had gotten his points but the others would be involved too. Last year it was Harris. Now we need a balanced offense that uses different offensive strategies like the Princeton, Triangle, Dribble Drive and etc.....
I personally think this year is all about FRANK. How he coaches this team from training camp!!!!
Yeah Hollinger was the Nets beat writer for the New York Sun or something. Correct me but I think that newspaper shut down right? Either way, even in our finals run, he NEVER flat out gave us a compliment. If he said something good, he would just give us a backhanded comment in the very next sentence. During our finals runs, he would talk about how strong we play defense and how efficient we are on both sides of the court...then talk about how good the West is and that we'll come out of the East that year "because somebody has to." Screw that guy. Now that he really only does ESPN stuff, he just brought that hate to a national level as well. Over the past decade, I've probably sent him about 25 emails demanding to know why he hates the Nets so much and how he is a terrible writer and his player rating system is dumb (other writers have said this as well...Hollinger apparently has a big ego).
Either way, screw that guy.
