id like to see those guys play more. but that really is a minimal impact. out starters and main rotation guys are getting smacked around and getting smacked around early in games as well as late. our big problem is our best players/starters/key reserves arent getting it done.

Move him to the bench and limit his minutes is the best solution now.

We should. You think it's easy for a 7 foot 250-275 pound man to come back from not playing a season after having another foot surgery? We already know he's not a mobile player take away his health what do you expect?

Funny how understandable some are with Deron's health but there's such a small leash for Brook.

yes, because no one bashed deron last year

put brook on the bench. if he can show he deserves more minutes or to start we can do that. it shouldnt be the other way around. we cant afford to lose games waiting for him to improve -- which may never happen.

We will be better defensively and have better ball movement with this starting line-up. Lopez can anchor the second unit and his lack of passing wont hurt as much with him being the primary option in the second unit

Kg Lopez
Tele / Plumlee
Joe
boj / Brown
D-will / Jack

i dont see how anyone can say markel brown is going to help fix our defense. especially when AA/bogs have been 2 of our better defenders

I'm still surprised how BAD Anderson has been and how AK got shafted in the rotation.

Maybe more info will come out over time, but I'm really hoping we can flip AK for a better 2/3 player who can give minutes off the bench.

bogs has not been a good defender, just because he's not playingas bad on that end as we thought he would, does not mean he's been effective at guarding that position

i think you can argue he's been our best defender. he certainly has been good, above average at worst

Who's talking about last year we're talking about the problems on the team now. Btw he had his best season last year imo.

he is talking about last year when he says "funny how understandable some are with deron's health" deron's health issues were a year ago.

Nah bro I was talking talking about Brook's health and how impatient we've been with him coming back from surgery and a missed year. Look at Derrick Rose he missed a year and can't stay on the court.

Wish we still had Humphries. The guy is a rebound machine, and is still good for a few baskets every game. He got done dirty when he was with us after Carlesimo took over. A pairing of Hump/Brook off the bench would be nice.

I don't see a line up change happening so I'll stay away from that.
I would do the following...

On offense ride Brook early on. He's best in first quarters. If he's playing well, great. If not know to keep him on the bench the rest of the way. Let D.Will be the main option on offense otherwise.

Pick and roll much more..D.Will with Lopez, KG, Plumlee, Teletovic.
If Jack is in the zone let him play and shoot. If he's not make him pass more and form chemistry with the second unit. I'd say less of Jack/D.Will but that would mean more Anderson.

Play AK. It can't hurt as most think he's done anyway. He should be taking AAs minutes and even play some PF. Play Plumlee. Right now his confidence is hurting as is his trade value.

If/when AK is moved we need more depth on the wings so that AA doesn't play. Brown and Karasev should even get a crack at his minutes.

Defensively we need to keep KG at C to help anchor the D. We need our bigs to step up defensively which I think is possible since they can't be much worse. Stay big and even try some Mirza at SF with two bigs next to him. I'd also like to see more Plumlee/Lopez. If KG leaves us next year were going to need someone who can play next to Brook assuming he's still on the team. Plumlee would be our best pick and roll defender and IMO might be better defensively at PF since he can get overpowered easily by big Cs.

Otherwise...while I think Hollins had the right idea at first calling out players I think this team is too mentally soft to take it. Lopez and Plumlee in particular. It hasn't worked yet as neither is playing well. AK is another one he seemed to alienate. I think he should continue is hard ass ways but less publicly would be my preference.
