TBoo - 10
CMC and IWhi - 8
GVas - 5
JGut, BLop, and BBog - 4

Best Offensive effort - YFer, ABen, JHar and JHam
Best Defensive effort - JHam (but it's not saying much as our defensive effort this game overall was bad).

Can you post an explanation for this stat? The data is pretty useless if we don't know what its recording.

Would you want a technical (equation-based) explanation? Let's start with a simplified version first - let me know if you'd like more details. GCP (Game Contribution Points) - is a simplified way of presenting the Basic Stats of players (i.e. the one complicated table you see in NBA which tracks points scored, time played, shot attempts, assists etc. etc. This score is normalized against time-played (for some factors) as well as normalized against the overall Team Performance. The short gist of it is - anyone scoring above 20 is good, anyone scoring from 10 to 19 is giving a normal performance, anyone doing below 9 is really developing (or in the case of regular players, not really putting in any effort).

For the Offensive Effort and Defensive Effort - I am trying out a different calculation which is normalized against the Total Performance Scores (of both teams) - I haven't displayed the players' values as yet, as I am trying to figure out what is a good benchmark in terms of scoring - perhaps after 8 or 10 games I will have a clearer idea, currently I am listing the top few players (generally people scoring above 5).

Harris, Whitehead, and Hamilton impressed me in this game. Bennett seemed better.
Vasquez's legs seemed pretty heavy.
Should try to cut team turnover and take better care of the ball next game.
Most NBA stats aren't credible. At most times the people who interprets those data are biased, or the data themselves are flawed. Basketball is just too complicated with so many uncontrollable variables.

except bennett cant hit a 3 and brook , brook doesnt have 3 point range and can actually hit the long 2, i dont mind brook shooting those jumpers to keep defense honest and guessing.

i just dont think we need lopez that far from basket. i want us to throw ball to lopez in post and to kick out for 3 if he is double teamed.

brook shooting longs twos doesnt keep the defense honest, because eve at 42-45% on long twos, its horribly inefficient (0.86-0.88 PPP)

lopez can be a bad three point shooter and have it STILL be a better shot then long twos.

teams wont close out on lopez on long twos. if he hits threes, they absolutely will

i just dont want lopez going farther from basket, its not his strength. i dont think its good to experiment during season.
