Lopez for Vucevic, instead?

Hows Lopez's defense?

Good rim protector usually but not laterally quick enough to guard PnRs effectively.

As an outsider looking in, I would definitely prefer Gordon if I were BRK. Bojan is much more effective now, but given BRK's pick situation and status as rebuilding, I would gamble on the higher upside prospect. Gordon is a hard worker with great intangibles and is only 21, and from what I've read one of Atkinson's strengths is player development.

BRK is unlikely to be in the playoff picture for the next two seasons so you have the runway to invest in Gordon without compromising any short term franchise goals.

I'd take Gordon in a heartbeat over Bojan.

No, you are not the only one.

We should see what Magic fans think. If there isn't a single one who doesn't laugh at that offer, let me know.

Gordon has infinitely more trade value than Bogdanovic. And I like Bogdanovic (although I am disappointed with him). He is still raw, but is their best hope at having someone special on that roster after their 'rebuild' - they won't be giving away anytime soon.

I agree that the Nets shouldn't trade Lin for Payton.

I completely agree with you, that's why I think Bojan for Gordon is too good to be true. I think it would take more to get Gordon, and i wouldnt even think twice about swapping Gordon for Bogs because it would be amazing for us.

Bojan: 14.2ppg, 3.4rpg, 1.3apg on .34 3P%, .46 FG%, .89 FT%
Gordon: 9.3ppg, 4.8rpg, 1.9apg on .28 3P%, .38 FG%, .59 FT%

please define the term "infinitely"

for all intents and purposes, both of these players are scrubs for their own reasons

I don't believe Bogdanovic has much trade value, he is about to become a free agent and get paid. One of the worst defenders in the league, his multi-year RAPM is -3.24 which puts him at 652 among 658 players and at 27 he is what he is.

Gordon is 21. Drafted 4th overall in 2014. Still on a rookie contract. He had and still has great potential. He is a diamond in the rough. At the very least he projects to be a very solid defender, able to defend multi positions and be a very good glue guy.

While still raw and a work in progress (and being jerked around in a bad organization), his potential is still magnetizing and there's no team in the league that would consider giving him up for a guy like Bogdanovic who isn't seizing the opportunity with the Nets to blow up this year.

Bogdanovic has everything to really establish himself on a team like this (and prop up his value at the trade deadline). I guess there's still time, but he has been underwhelming.

Gordon is 21
Bogs is 28

that is a major factor. Gordon is still a raw/athlete who has alot of development left. im not sure how much bogs improves.

you also left out all the defensive stats which show bojan is a bottom 5 defender in the entire NBA, worse then bargani statistically.

most of your stats are raw offensive numbers that also dont take minutes and roles into account.

I agree with Dirk Gordon has potential he could use a trade to a team that utilizes his skills better.

I'm with you - I can't disagree with anything you said, but while fans will always overrate their rookies (see Nets fans on RHJ) it's a GM's job to trade for "who a player is" at the moment. And at the moment, Gordon is essentially Brandon Knight. Anthony Bennett is proof that lottery picks bust everyday b

Payton can't shoot. This team is all about shooting.
