I dont think anyone who has read a post by Demens thinks he has been on the fence about anything. I think its clear its been all Cousins.
I am not surprised to see positive feedback on the two workouts cousins has done so far. we know he is more polished. You will thrive there...its basketball drive, not mental, not physical, not about athletic drills. Not about atitude. I have read...Cousins weghed in 15 poiunds less than he did at Chicago. i have read...he really impressed anyone in coversation. and...I have seen him running full court for 10 minutes and keeping up a level of intensity.
I have read...shooting well and showing his talented footwork. We already know all of this. And he has the MOST to prove. right now because his stock is the lowest of everyone of the top guys.
I want desperately to hear the important good things about Cousins. That he started lifting. That he came into the weigh room and showed them something. That his weight is down. That at dinner he ordered a salad and grilled chicken in a steak house. Whatever! I want to hear the things that we DONT know. I dont need anyone to convince me that he has skills for the game. I am convinced he can play. I am not convinced he can stay on a court. Or that he wont be sucking wind after 5 minutes. Or that he can GUARD anyone outside the paint. That he will be able to keep up with today's NBA faster pace and not be a killer of tempo as a PF because I sure cant see Brook at the 4 either.
You know what? I really WANT a reason to hear that we should take Cousins that shows a change to the reasons we think we should skip him. I really do. So far still havent heard that he changed percpetion or that he is more focused or working to say...hey I can fix those things to. Dont just show me..ignore all those things because I can play. its not enough.
ESPN is doing an OTL on him. Here is the preview. When someone finds a link to the entire thing or knows when it will air..please post it so we can all see it. I am sure it will be prop Cousins, help his stock. So? Good. lets see that.
